Love love love Avene Coldcream! Everything I love and need in a cream. I use it everywhere on my body. My face loves it! Thick but blends right into the skin leaving a nice coating of moisture while still being not to greasy. The fragrance is lovely but not overwhelming. Lasts a long time.I use it in the am under make up, as a moisturizer after I remove make up. I also use it after I apply my Vitamin A cream before bed. I'm 60 and my skin craves it. I need a way bigger tube!

This is my to go product when I have really bad eczema flare-ups on my face and body. I get itchy bumps and dry skin when that happens and this seems to be the only thing that can normalise and soothe the itch on my skin, including flare-ups on my eyelids. I’ve tried raw shea butter, camelia oil, cocoa butter, physiogel, but they don’t soothe the irritation and itch as well as this. The texture is greasy but I really don’t care because I just need to not feel itchy and irritated with the flare up. I just let the hair stay away from my face so it doesn’t stick on and that’s pretty much it. I‘m on my fourth tube now that I moved to Europe and it’s my lifesaver during autumn/winter months. A great way would be to squeeze the product from the top of the tube and go downwards as you use it. Love that the packaging uses less plastic!

Cold Cream is the answer to life’s problems

Okay maybe not all of life‘S problems but certainly dry skin problems! Avene’s cold cream is my life saver whenever the temperature dips and it’s also great as a last step evening moisturiser on the face too. Most times I use this on my heels, calves, arms and elbows. They don’t stock these in-store at Boots or Superdrug so I get them here on LookFantastic! High recommended!

Excellent cream.

I purchased this cold cream when I saw it being used on TV by Trinny. She used it under make up for a dewy look. I absolutely love it and use it every morning under my make up. I apply after my usual morning routine using a small amount. I apply about 5 -10 minutes before makeup. I have also started using it as a face mask too. It’s such a great price and perfect to use quite liberally and leave for 10-20 minutes before showering. I will definitely buy this product again.

Fragrance? Really?

As a brand that markets itself towards people with highly sensitive or reactive skin, you would think that your number one priority would be to avoid added fragrance in to ur products? It’s so incredibly frustrating. It’s literally proven that added fragrance can increase skin sensitivity over time. So disappointing. Won’t be purchasing any products with fragrance from you guys even though I’d love to because I have extremely sensitive skin.

Great for very dry skin!

I purchased this product about a month ago and I have been using it ever since to get my skin through this incredibly dry winter that's been making my severe eczema flare up like crazy.I use it both on my face and body and it works very well. The only places I avoid on my face are my nose and eyelids - I've noticed that when I use it on my nose I get small whiteheads here and there.The product is very moisturising and rich. The scent is kind of therapeutic to me and isn't too strong. I really like it

This cold cream is very nice to put on. I apply it to my knees and elbows nearly every morning after my shower, and it sinks in quickly enough that I doesn’t mark my clothes my the time I’ve put on my moisturizer and underwear. I do have dry skin and it loves this cream. I also occasionally put some on my hands or where I have patches of dryer skin or eczema on my body. I don’t use it on my face, which is combinaison and would look greasy if I did. The effect is longer lasting than creams sold on the high street (I imagine it is the absence of paraben or silicone that makes the difference?). Having said that, I have been a big fan of Avene and Laroche-Posay for years / decades and I don’t really bother with high-street skin products anymore.

Absolutely devastated. Have used Avene Cold Cream facial cream for over 12 years. Upon receiving my most recent order, I immediately noticed that the packaging had changed. This didn't surprise me as some of Avene's other lines (Cicalfate) had recently switched packaging. However to my absolute horror, I realized that the formula had also changed. This is a completely different cream, evidenced by the additional ingredients such as CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, POLYACRYLATE-13, POLYSORBATE 20, POLYISOBUTENE, SORBITAN ISOSTEARATE and WATER (AQUA). Just an utter disgrace. Did Avene think loyal customers of over a decade wouldn't notice? I have absolutely no idea why this cream needed to be messed with. Not the same cold cream as before, formula changed?

I bought a cold cream before about 2-3 years ago and it work great! I used it over night for a rich hydration after a beach day in the sun or during cold months. I kept it in my refrigerator and works great! But with this new order the first thing that I notice right away is that the packaging bottle changed now it’s plastic. I also think that the cream consistency feels different. I’m not sure if they change their formula but It feels completely different on my face, might be because it comes in a different packaging and the chemistry of the cream gets alter due to the plastic, not sure what it is but it’s different.

Soap residue on face

Instructions say to use as a moisturizer so I used as such. Cold creme is traditionally used as makeup removal, so I was immediately skeptical. Upon application, it felt as though I applied cleanser to my skin and “left it”. Will never use again, although, every other Avenue product I’ve used has been examplary. I would like to continue to be a customer assuming they will approve return/exchange of the Avenue Cold Creme. I do not recommend as it contains mineral oils and this is what is used in most high end cleansers and not moisturizers, as the Avene instructions recommend using this product as a moisturizer.
