I love these two products more than anything. I have only ordered always from LovelySkin.com. The service is fast and very quick to respond to emails. About these products the cleanser is super sensitive skin approved it keeps my skin clear every day of the year and the retrinal used on face and neck at the age of 58 is what keeps my skin young every night of the year, two times a week is what I started at over 10 years ago and I just love the way my skin has become. Thank you to avene and pca and LovelySkin is what I need always for great skincare.

I purchased this after chatting with a skin specialist on the Avene site. I had used a few of their products that seemed to work okay and was hoping for something that would help with lines and wrinkles and improve the tone of my skin. Unfortunately this has been a big let down for me. First, the product does not apply well. Adapalene did it's job well, but I was constantly fighting the irritation around my mouth and outer the edges of my nose, even though I wasn't applying it directly to those areas. This product is by far my favorite retinoid. It’s gentle and very effective! I love that it works for my sensitive reactive skin. It’s the Goldilocks of retinoids; more potent than retinol and not as irritating as Tretinoin. I’m glad Avene came up with a retinoid product for those of us not able to tolerate prescription strength anti aging and anti acne products.
I am so happy with this purchase. I’m not new to retin-A because 42 years ago I was diagnosed with vitiligo and at that time doctos didn’t realize the power of it. Needless to say the spread of Vitiligo stopped. It’s barely noticeable now. With that said 42 years later at 66 decided to start using it for the firmness. I do not have hyperpigmentation or acne. Always had beautiful skin. For 2 weeks I suffered with dry red patches and now my skin feels so firm especially on my neck. The only thing you must wear is sunscreen. Preferably mineral broad spectrum. I’m flying out of the country for 3 weeks and this product with all the retinal products are coming with me. I am never going to stop using. This is like the fountain of youth. Avene please do not stop carrying it.

I tried adjusting to tret for two years - it helped my acne but made me a sensitive flakey red mess no matter what I did (slugging, buffering, lower doses - I tried it all). I finally gave up tret about a month ago and swapped this in, and my skin looks and feels SO much better. This helps keep the acne at bay without being irritating. My skin looks much clearer, is way calmer, is softer, my pores have smoothed out significantly, and no flakes! It's too early to tell for antiaging, but I have high hopes and will continue to use this. My favorite retinal product! Granted it’s the only one I’ve ever tried but it’s done such a great job at maintaining healthy and youthful looking skin that I can’t imagine trying anything else. I’ve already used one full one, I’m on my second one, and recently purchased a third as a back up to have in stock. I LOVE this. It’s so gentle and non irritating. It would be great to have a retinal product for hands as well because I want to take care of them too so if this came in a version for hands I would *definitely* purchase it.
Honestly, it's hard to tell after less than a month if it's working. I've been using one, maybe two pumps, a night for 3.5 weeks. My skin is pretty dry so it's hard to smooth it on my face before it absorbs. Not a lot of slip. Also, tonight, either the pump stopped working or I ran out. Probably the latter because the package (while lovely and airtight) only holds one ounce of product. One ounce. Two tablespoons of product for $80. I will not repurchase.
Thicker than other Avene creams, the texture of this cream is rich.I didn’t like a couple of things:A) the yellow dye of the product seems to be lasting and comes off when removing makeup even 24-36 hours after applying it to your face;B) This cream must have somewhat aggressive ingredients. I have sensitive skin and didn’t tolerate it well. After a few days of use, I felt mild itching after applying it. Also, eye tears made my skin react to it with itching, mild burning and discomfort.Overall, the quality of the product is good, but I would NOT recommend it for anyone with sensitive skin or a history of eczema.

I took her advice and was very happy--no irritation or flaking, no more milia, and there was a noticeable improvement in the appearance of my skin (even my husband who notices nothing noticed the improvement).
