TL; DR: This is my holy grail cleanser.I have extremely sensitive skin that erupts into horrible pimples & cystic acne if you even look at it the wrong way, and especially the week before my period. This cleanser has been invaluable in undoing a decade-long vicious and painful cycle by creating a truly clean slate for my face.Combined with cycling tretinoin/glycolic acid/rest at night and applying La Roche Posay's Cicaplast Balm daily, I'm in hydrated & clear skin heaven. Honestly the best my skin has looked in years.I cannot recommend this cleanser enough--for all skin types & ages, but especially if you have super sensitive skin.

I bought this for such a long time to cleanse my face but then the formula changed. I bought it anyway willing to give the new formula a chance, because I thought surely it couldn’t be too different, however over time it has given me such red cheeks, almost like rosacea. The oncologists emphasized that I had to maintain my skin really moisturized to avoid small cuts that could lead to infection. That’s when this cleansing oil was really put to the test. I kept using it and my skin never got cracked or extremely dry, even while being both on chemo and inmmunotherapies. And as you guess it I didn’t use any body moisturizer. The only thing that I did was change the shower filter more often than before the cancer diagnose. This product is not sold where I’m currently living. You have no idea how grateful I am that LovelySkin continues to have it on stock, even during the pandemic, and I was allow to obtain it during the last two years. The fact that it comes in a pump bottle was really relevant in this season of my life because it ensured that I would only touch the amount of oil to be used. Worth every penny!

I also use tretinoin nightly and this was so gentle on my skin and never caused a breakout. I couldn’t say enough good things about it. I always had backups, because I subscribed to monthly deliveries, sitting in my cabinet cause I couldn’t imagine not having it. Unfortunately the formula has changed and it’s not the same. It’s thinner, has a different scent and isn’t as gentle as it used to be. Sometimes its caused my skin to become red and inflamed. It’s really weird. This is my second time purchasing the Avene XeraCalm AD Lipid-Replenishing Cleansing Oil and I purchased the largest bottle this time around. I've tried it on my face and it does not irritate. I use it regularly as a hand soap and on my forearms to wash off sunscreen in the evening. As a regular hand washer this has been the most soothing cleanser that I have ever tried. I find myself not having to apply hand cream as frequently as when I have used any other hand soap. I will continue to buy as long as it is available. If you are looking for a gentle cleanser this is the one.
This awesome product has become a staple in our home for the whole family. Its gentle with a very subtle, calming smell and feels so good on the skin. I use as an overall cleanser but also on my face. And find it works wonders with that stubborn mascara that just won't go away - all while being gentle and soft on my skin. I have used it for my little one and toddler without any issue at all, and just love that it's a product we can all use. It really is calming and gentle and I actually look forward to the daily washing ritual as I get to use this great product.
I think this extremely gentle wash has helped my reddened facial skin return to a semi-normal pink-ish color. My face was very very red even using the anti-red line. I finally added this wash for my facial regime and it seems to help lessen my redness, finally.I started using the Avene line a few years ago. I started with the Thermal mist when i feel "dry" during the day, Xeracalm Cream every day. And I use the Cicalfate 3-4 times a week at night. I switch to the Xeracalm Balm during the dead of winter (I live in CT).

I am a fan of this cleansing oil. I like to use products that my kids and husband can also use without having to hide it from them.Unfortunately, most of my family has sensitive and dry skin which causes itchiness and tightness, especially in winter. I have to be really careful in choosing shower products that don't dry skin but nourish instead.Luckily, this cleansing oil was suitable for all my family members. It was so gentle on my kids skin and left skin feeling soft and not itchy.I would 100% buy it again if it was cheaper. Unfortunately, it has a hefty price tag so I think I will splurge once year and use it during winter.
This cleansing oil was awesome because it was used by my whole family and we all loved it.My kids and I have sensitive skin, whereas my husband has rough and dry skin. We used this oil in the shower and luckily, none of us had dry skin afterwards, there was also no itchiness. The oil itself was so gentle on the skin.I rarely felt the need to moisturise my skin afterwards.I 100% would recommend this to everyone with sensitive skin. Unfortunately, the hefty pricetag would limit my options of buying it all the time.
