Great bottles! These are wonderful for colic and reflux and just to reduce air in baby’s stomach. They really help with less spit up and fussiness. We noticed a difference right away. They’re super simple to put together, unlike some of the other ones we tried that had tons of small parts. They were also simple to clean and didn’t require small brushes; this was an important aspect for me. I love that the nipple is designed to collapse for less air, just like breastfeeding. So smart! It also draws the milk or formula into the nipple which also helps with less air. We like the clear design too. All around amazing bottles.

These are the best bottles I have tried. A lot of people like dr browns but they have way too many pieces especially when you’re trying to make a bottle quickly and you can’t find all the parts. I also find that the nipples in these bottles are much better than nipples on any of the other bottles he excepts them much easier the anti-colic plastic piece works really well and he likes the size and shape of the bottle it’s very easy for him to hold it by himself. Only issue that I have run into is making sure the plastic piece is pushed all the way down and the cap is on tight because after they wear out sometimes the caps come off easily. So I suggest rotating between 5 bottles or replacing them after a couple months. If your only using a couple bottles. It’s ... MoreThese are the best bottles I have tried. I prefer the wide opening of these bottles to the narrower bottles we’ve tried for ease of cleaning. I also love that I can run them through the dishwasher! My daughter had no trouble adjusting to the nipple that came in this pack. She has always preferred Avent nipples, and while it seemed a little “faster” flow than the Natural 0 nipple, it wasn’t too fast for her to keep up. I loved how the nipple stays filled with milk, preventing her from gulping down air. This has helped hugely in preventing her post-meal spit-ups. Her stomach also seems to churn less with gas after she finishes a bottle! One of my favorite parts about these bottles is that they screw on seamlessly (without adapters) to my breastpump - and no other anti-colic bottle that I’ve tried does that! The clearly marked measurements on the side help me know when I’ve pumped enough. All in all, these bottles work perfectly for my little one and I’m very happy to have found an anti-colic bottle that is so easy to use! I had every intention to directly nurse my baby but due to her being born premature and spending time in the NICU I had to adjust my plans. In order to still provide her with breast milk I have been exclusively pumping ever since as she was never able to get the hang of nursing after being introduced to bottles. The main problem we had with feeding her was all of the gas she was ingesting causing her so much pain! Even with giving her gas drops at every feeding she was still extremely uncomfortable and her pediatrician suspected reflux. We bought at least ten different bottle brands to try and find one that would cause her to ingest the least amount of air possible to alleviate her gas/reflux issues and were only able to find ones that helped to improve it but never ... MoreI had every intention to directly nurse my baby but due to her being born premature and spending time in the NICU I had to adjust my plans. The main problem we had with feeding her was all of the gas she was ingesting causing her so much pain! Even with giving her gas drops at every feeding she was still extremely uncomfortable and her pediatrician suspected reflux. We bought at least ten different bottle brands to try and find one that would cause her to ingest the least amount of air possible to alleviate her gas/reflux issues and were only able to find ones that helped to improve it but never fully remedy the problem. Until I tried these Phillips Avent Anti-Colic Bottles with AirFree vents - they are amazing! Her gas issues have dramatically improved and I think it is all due to the design of the AirFree vent since no other bottles have worked out this well for her. She is also now much easier to burp. I also appreciate that there aren't too many pieces to each bottle so it is not complicated to put the bottles together, take apart, and wash. I think the standout feature of these bottles is that the AirFree vent allows the milk/formula to stay in the nipple even if the bottle is held horizontally so the baby is not ingesting any extra air if the bottle isn't being held at the exact angle for milk to always flow through the nipple. With a squirmy baby that feature is amazing! The design of the bottle is also very nice as it is comfortable to hold in your hand and easy for baby to reach up and practice grabbing onto, and I also really enjoy the option of the pink bottle color. I received this product from the weeSpring Parent Panel and am very thankful as I can now finally stop my search for the perfect bottle for my gassy/reflux prone baby!
My baby was ~5 months old when we started using these bottles (with #1 nipple). He is formula fed and ever since he's been born, he's had problems with reflux with spit up almost every time after feedings, sometimes to the point of projectile spit up! He also suffers from gas which causes discomfort. We tried multiple different formulas as well as bottles to find a right fit to help keep it under control.Pros: Overall, these bottles are effective and although my son still spits up a tiny bit after meals, it is not near the amount he has spit up with other bottles. He also seems to not be as gassy; we usually put him to sleep by feeding with this bottle (and it isn't always easy for him to fall asleep if he's gassy). He also seems to not be as gassy; we usually put him to sleep by feeding with this bottle (and it isn't always easy for him to fall asleep if he's gassy). Shape wise I find the bottle lightweight and easy to hold (for me as well as when he tries to help hold it some himself). We also have not had any issues with leaks, as we've had with other vented bottle brands. Nipple wise, he seems to latch very easily and maintains a good latch throughout the feeding and seems to like these bottles. I also like how it can be used multi-functionally (regular bottle, for breast pump, milk storage, and training cup)Although these are all pros, there are some cons that I've found....the directions in how to position the vent part of the bottle inside the bottle are not very clear. There are pictures in the direction pamphlet of how to specifically position it but no words/description with it. So honestly I'm not even sure if I've been using the vent portion properly? Also although the vent portion is easier to clean than other brands I've tried (mostly because it's all open), I find the vent really difficult to remove after feeding (it seems like while feeding, it suctions onto the bottle top). Luckily I have nails to break the seal and pop it out after feedings but it was still not easy and I can see this being a challenge/annoying for many people. I also find that although the #1 nipples are advertised as being the slowest flow for this brand, they are still relatively fast compared to other brands (similar to #2-3 in other brands we've used). Luckily my son is ~5 months old so can handle the faster flow now, although he still does have some overflow at times due to how fast it is. If he were any younger, I could see this being a big issue for him and his reflux. Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this product!
I have a 7 week old preemie daughter that breastfeeds with me during the day and has bottles with daddy and grandma while I'm at work during my overnight shifts. She has had such an awful time with gas and reflux that she actually sleeps inclined to help her get better rest. Another important thing to know about my daughter is that it took her a little while to learn how to eat from a bottle. We received a three pack of these Phillips Avent Anti-Coli baby bottles to try to see if they would help keep her from swallowing as much air. I was excited to try a new brand of bottle with hopes that the venting system would be less complicated and/or less parts to have to wash.Learning to suck from the new bottles was a bit of a learning curve for my daughter, but the ... MoreI have a 7 week old preemie daughter that breastfeeds with me during the day and has bottles with daddy and grandma while I'm at work during my overnight shifts. I was excited to try a new brand of bottle with hopes that the venting system would be less complicated and/or less parts to have to wash.Learning to suck from the new bottles was a bit of a learning curve for my daughter, but the size 2 nipple that comes with the package was very generous. If you tip the bottle over, milk will drip out at what I would call a medium pace. My daughter did not have to do much work to get milk out, so she was able to drink fine after she adjusted to the different design of the Avent Anti-Colic nipple.I found the slightly hourglass figure of the bottle pretty easy to hold and I really appreciated how clear and easy to read the ml and oz measurements are on the side. I loved that it had less pieces to clean and put together compared to the other brand we've been using, but it did take some getting used to. If you're not careful, you can accidentally bend the edges of the plastic vent part when putting it inside which negates the bottles ability to keep the nipple full of milk. Kind of silly since that's the bottles main feature. It's easy to fix and it only took me making the mistake once to pay attention better when assembling it in the future. As far as I can tell, these Anti-colic bottles and their AirFree vent were just as effective as helping my daughter's gas and reflux problems as the bottles and venting system we typically use. She doesn't seem to be having any more fussiness, but it hasn't improved her sleep either. However, they do work much better than other brands of bottles we have tried with her.Overall, I would recommend any parent with a concern about their baby's air intake during meals try the Philips Avent Anti-Coli Bottles with their AirFree venting system. I want to say thank you to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending us the bottles to try and to Philips Avent for investing time and research into finding solutions for our gassy and colicky babies!
I want to start of by saying thank you to weespringparentpanelreview for allowing us to review another great product of theirs. The Philips Avent anti-colic slow flow bottle, with size 1 and size 2 nipples was an excellent bottle to my son who was born with an extensive overbite problem since birth. This bottle is very easy to use, it comes with an anti colic vent piece that disassembles easily and washes well easily. This BPA bottle definitely lowered my sons spit up at night. He also had a small colic issue with the one and only bottle he was using before, and this amazing bottle definitely is a win win to him and i! The valve is supposed to allow air in order to prevent air into my baby’s stomach. Another Pro i noticed is that this bottle with the vent adapter allows my son to eat at his very own pace, if looked at closely when the bottle is turned in the feeding position the milks slowly flows into the soft nipple, at a slow pace! I also noticed his burping has definitely lowered which is a plus for us to because this allows him to be less fussy and have less air bubbles which means less colics and definitely less tummy discomfort. The Only one con i can say is that it would be nice if this bottle had a particular small brush to wash the ventilated valve since i did notice the small vent i couldn’t stick anything to clean thst small particular spot. The ease of cleaning this bottle is more hygienic and a healthy eating experience for my son which is a plus also! Either than not having a small brush to clean the valve i give this bottle a 5 star! Thank you weespringparentpanelreview for giving us this bottle to review! We look forward to many many more reviews in the future! This bottle was provided by weespring parent panel for review:)
Overall, I liked the Avent Anti-Colic Bottles with AirFree vents, and I give them 4/5 star rating. The bottle size is fantastic for fitting in diaper bag or purse. They are compact and the bottle cap has a very secure fit so I never worried about leaking. It also snapped on and off easily with one hand, which all parents know is super important when baby wants to eat quickly on the go! :) I also really like the slight curve in the body of bottle which made it comfortable for me to hold, as well as baby's hand when she wanted to grab the bottle. I used the pink design bottle, which I thought was cute vs a typical clear bottle. I used the Size 1 nipple for my 4 month old who is mostly breastfed and I was very happy with the flow. I used the pink design bottle, which I thought was cute vs a typical clear bottle. I used the Size 1 nipple for my 4 month old who is mostly breastfed and I was very happy with the flow. Between the AirFree vent and the nipple design, I thought the bottle design was really great for controlling the flow of milk and preventing extra air--even towards the end of the bottle. I noticed that at the end of feeding, baby's need to be burped wasn't as strong as with other bottles which I really liked because I typically give bottle right before bed and it's one less thing to worry about after I put her down. In terms of cleaning, I found the body of the bottle compact and very easy to clean (even on the go without a bottle brush which is a huge plus for me!!). Cleaning the vent was also easy, as opposed to other brands that have vents I am never quite sure if the cleaning agent is reaching, the pieces are thick and easy to access all angles, so you can really scrub them. The only reason I am not giving these bottles a 5/5 is the disassembly process. When I tried transferring milk into the bottle while holding baby, I ended up having to put baby down because the seal on the vent is very tight against the body of the bottle, which is great to serve the purpose of preventing air, but you really have to stick your nail under the vent to pop it out and I needed both hands. Baby definitely enjoyed this bottle and I found the feeding process from start to finish really smooth. The assembly process will just take some getting used to, so I think I will continue to use this product as baby grows. Bottles were provided as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel.
I was given the Avent Anti-Colic Bottle to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. My son is primarily breastfed but takes 3 bottles a day while I'm at work. We've tried all different types of bottles and found that as long as there's milk, he'll happily drink it. This means that my greedy little monkey tries to eat as fast as possible, often times gulping air. Additionally, he suffers from acid reflux and the most important thing for us when choosing a bottle is to minimize the air that gets into the nipple which helps with how much spit-up we deal with after feedings. Additionally, he suffers from acid reflux and the most important thing for us when choosing a bottle is to minimize the air that gets into the nipple which helps with how much spit-up we deal with after feedings. The Avent anti-colic bottle does a great job at reducing the amount of air in the nipple. With other bottles, I'm always anxiously watching the milk levels decrease so I can make sure to change the angle at which I'm feeding so that he doesn't suck down air as he gets to the bottom of the bottle. The product page claims that the nipple stays full of milk, not air even when horizontal is absolutely true! When we first started testing these bottles, my son had a little cold and was congested. Even with his mouth breathing while feeding, I noticed that he wasn't gulping any extra air which kept the spit-up to a minimum. I waited till after his cold passed and he was breathing normally, and found that his spit-up was minimal and I was able to lay him down sooner after feeding. Before I used to keep him upright for 30-45 minutes after feeding. With this bottle, I've been able to lay him down as early as 15 minutes. As for the design, I really like the one piece design. It makes it easy to clean and to install. There are diagrams on the top of the vent which is visible through the nipple showing you which end needs to be up for the vent to work properly. This is helpful but sometimes difficult to see through the nipple. Also, once you fill the bottle with milk, it can be difficult to see the vent. You can also look into the bottle to see where the spoon scoop is located to make sure that you;re holding the bottle right side up. This could have possible be easier to see of the entire vent was teal colored but the scoop part is clear silicon.Overall, highly recommend this bottle for those parents with babies who suffer from reflux!
I was given this Bottle to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. I am a breastfeeding mom who needs to supplement with formula towards the end of the day when my supply gets low. We have had issues with my baby spitting up and having gas after using some bottles on the market. The Philips Avent Anti-colic baby bottle Seal Design was an option we had looked at to fill our need along with some other brands on the market. This definitely has some pros and cons and unfortunately for us I think the cons outweigh the pros. It comes in a pack of three, which is nice. However, all three bottles have a nipple that is level 2. This definitely has some pros and cons and unfortunately for us I think the cons outweigh the pros. It comes in a pack of three, which is nice. However, all three bottles have a nipple that is level 2. I know that this may not be an issue for some people since the bottles say 1 mo + and our daughter is 4 months, but as a breastfeeding mom the flow of a level 2 nipple is WAY too fast. It normally takes my daughter about 10-15 min to go through a 3 oz bottle/breastfeeding, but with this bottle she finished 3oz in only 3 minutes. It left her feeling like she had not had enough to eat and immediately began crying. Knowing that she had plenty and that her brain had not registered this yet because it was too quick, I just had to hold and soothe her until she realized she was full, which was about 5 minutes of crying. With that said, even though she eat it all very fast, it did stay down and she did not spit it up. The bottles were very easy to put together and to clean as well as it didn't have any really small crevices that some other brands have. Another con for me would be the bottle shape, although it may just be my daughters preference. She tends to like the smaller standard bottles over the wide neck bottles as it is easier for her to hold onto the smaller ones while feeding, which she likes to do. Overall I would say that the bottle does what it says it does, which is help with gas, spitting up and burping, but it just was not for us. I think a big improvement would be to offer a few nipple sizes to accommodate breastfeeding moms as well as exclusive formula feeding moms.
