We got this for our 3 year old son because he loves music, and we are all so thrilled with it! He loves the different instruments (his favourite so far is the Koto), and took his time exploring each one before starting to arrange them in the pit. A lovely mix of familiar and new songs, and I absolutely love how it's arranged in sections and also let's you see which instruments play the melody and which play the accompaniment for each song. As someone who's played in an orchestra before, this is by far the coolest musical toy I've seen! Thank you so much, I'll be recommending this to my friends and local stores!

This is an excellent toy. Made well, durable, with excellent sound quality and performs just like on the videos I've seen. Just be careful you're ordering the right one and you won't be disappointed. There's a 7-instrument version, and a rock version which is terrible. I've purchased this for a 4 year old boy and I'm told he keeps going back to it and he's 6 now. There's storage for the instruments which is a plus. I would also recommend for an older child, as the sound quality is good enough for the child to learn to identify each instrument's unique sound.

The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because we got it for a four year old boy. He was only mildly interested in playing with it at first, but I suspect that once he's played with his Christmas trucks, cars, and other things he'll come back to this and experiment with it. He does love music, and he loves examining things to see how they work--so I'm betting this will be a winner in a little more time. Meanwhile we adults loved it!
