Babolat presents the lightest member of the Pure Aero family, the Pure Aero 290, which offers the excellent playability of the standard Pure Aero but in a lighter, more user-friendly package. At 290 grams, the Pure Aero 290 is ideal for intermediate players who want a fast racket with effortless accuracy on full swings. It should also work well for beginners who want a racket that encourages continuous improvement. Like the previous generation, the new Pure Aero 290 features FSI spin technology. The increased distance between the cross strings provides a better "ball bite" and the larger eyelet holes allow for increased string movement and therefore a stronger "snapback effect". The result is a racket that grips the ball better and then catapults it out of the stringbed with even more spin. In this model, Babolat maintains the Aeromodular frame, which is crucial to this racket's quick handling. From the baseline, the Pure Aero 290 not only feels comfortably solid at ball contact, but also delivers impressive accuracy on full swings. While not as stable as the heavier Pure Aero models, the even balance of this racket provides impressive stability for its weight. It also has the manoeuvrability to make it easier for less advanced players to generate the racket speed needed for effective pace and spin. At net, the racquet's speed is an advantage when playing a fast stroke. The quick feel also helps on service returns where the Pure Aero 290 gets to the ball very quickly when the pressure is high. With its user-friendly playability, this racket remains an excellent choice for aspiring players who want easy access to pace and spin.

the swing weight was 20 points higher. I had to sell this racquet and purchase another at a local store where they weigh and measure for me. I called to inquire about having the racquet specialist meet the specs but the representative I spoke to did not know the cost therefore I felt uncomfortable continuing the conversation and ended up calling tennis warehouse and spoke to a racquet specialist who was familiar with the policy/cost and gave me some confidence that he knew what he was doing.

Racket came within 7 business days, love the color and came in perfect condition! It also came with strings, but I personally don’t like using synthetic gut. They died within two uses. Still, great racket!

Great purchase. Amazing item. Only downside is it comes unstrung but the advertisement photos and description do not indicate that. So have to spend another 50$ to get strung up.

Makes for a great gift. My fiancé was so surprised and can’t play enough tennis now knowing he has the best of the best equipment. Not mad about the extra cardio he’s getting haha
It's an easy racquet to play with. Produces easy power on the ground strokes and serves. So far I've been playing well with it during the Australian Sydney winter. We will see if I need to tighten up the strings a bit during the summer to control the power.I've been playing the aero pro drive racquets for many years. This feels like a good progression.
Great all around racket! I used to own a cheaper racket and didn't think there would be much of a difference from a higher end one. I was very wrong! This racket feels great in my hands and it has a much better feel when making contact with the ball. Would definitely recommend.
I have had the black-and-yellow Pure Aero for several years and love it, except for the colours. I know, it shouldn’t matter, but… Anyway, this colour scheme is much nicer. It’s the same powerful racquet that provides balance and spin as well.
I got a damaged racket and when I placed a return, Tennishub executive said that you only damaged the racket so we can not accep the return. Now, I have a damaged racket for 16000 rupees. I play at ODMT Tennis Academy Aundh Pune. 8888459457. Guys please buy rackets from your coaches or shops only.
The racquet is light and easy to control the action with pace and spin. My coach tried and likes it, it's ideal for beginner to intermediate players. It also works very great if you are looking to go on offence. In addition, the color is very outstanding and looks cute.
Great colour scheme for this Rafa edition Pure Aero. Looks even better in person. Obviously a pro quality racquet. I wouldn't recommend this racquet for beginners as it's better suited for advanced players. That said, it's a great collection piece with the Rafa name on it.
