I purchased this for my 5 month old along with an assortment of other toys. This is hands-down her favorite. The under-side of the octopus has a silky texture that my baby loves mouthing. It is also visually stimulating. The facial expression is cheerful and makes my baby smile, giggle and coo. I love that this toy plays music and also teaches color recognition. This is an easy item to take along in the diaper bag and is also great for tummy time.

My 5-month old Grandson loves this octopus. Absolutely keeps him engaged (reaching, squeezing, snuggling) while squealing in unison with the music. We so enjoy watching the interaction that we audibly laugh. Best ever! Highly recommend! (The small stitching on each leg — is associated with the color’s name — is too small to be a teaching tool.)

Excited to buy this toy; however, it is very faulty. You can press a color but it’ll always default to either white or brown & wont complete the button pressed additionally, it has to be turned off after use as it’ll continue saying white like a broken record.

Oh my god! This octoplush helps to improve sad mood so many times, I couldn’t believe it’s true, but he works so good! I think the magic in its melodies which are really so nice!!! Appreciate everyone who made this miracle octopus! Wonderful! It has worked from 3 months and still working for 8 mo, when he starts to crie, omg it helps so much! Must have!
FYI They do not include batteries with this toy!! I sent it to my grandson and my daughter had to go to the store and get 2 AA batteries before they could even use it. Poor on the part of Baby Einstein not including batteries. I will probably stay away from buying Baby Einstein products again because of this. When you send children gifts, you expect that they will be able to use it when it arrives. Luckily, this was a gift for a 3 month old not his 2 year old sister.
This item has beautiful music that plays a good variety of songs. The item is easy to hold and and the colors on the tentacles are also a great detail. However, I did have to return the original one I purchased because it had a short in it (not solved by new batteries) that causes it to repeat the word, “red” over and over and over again until it was turned off. Target was great and exchanged the item for me even thought we had thrown out the box.
When I say my daughter is obsessed, that’s an understatement. It’s one of the few staples we keep in the diaper bag for when we’re out at restaurants because it will always make her happy. I love that it has different language options and plays different songs.

This toy is wonderful! My granddaughter loves it. It's for 3months and up and I know she will get enjoyment from it for A LONG time. It's soft and bebe safe. Just wish it came in purple or pink. I love that it has SO MANY DIFFERENT MUSIC choices by touching the face. Each tentacle has colors which can be set in Eng, Spanish or French. There is also a volume control. Absolutely worth every penny!
i liked it wt first but started messing up after a month or less of use. the songs kept stoping at the very beginning. now it glitches and we cant get it to stop, its stuck playing one note over and over. dont waste your money
