These straighteners are much smoother than my GHD straighteners and no hairs get stuck down the ends of the plates. The temperature adjustment is a good feature, as you can lower it for weaker hair or increase it for thicker, curly hair. They have a nice strong feel and fit the hand well. The only strange thing is that they make a noise (I guess due to the thermostat?) So if you plan on doing your straightening in silence it won't be possible. I would have scored 4.5 due to this, otherwise they seem like a perfect straightener. Comes with a heat proof mat/case - handy.

Wow, I’m so impressed with these straighteners. I’m always dubious when trying other straighteners and careful to not damage my hair however these are replacing my GHD’s from now on.These straighteners are so easy to use, my hair was salon sleek in no time, my comb and hands glide through my hair so smoothly. There is no frizz or fly away hair so I’ve not had to use extra products after styling and my hair stayed salon perfect but light all day. I’ve even managed to get gorgeous curls from these straighteners which is not my best skill so I was surprised how easy it was.The plates are narrow but I coped styling my long hair, the cord is extra long and tangle free and I love the heat proof protective case. These really are amazing and great value for money.

I'm glad that there is a label on them which advises the straighteners make a buzzing noise which is the ionic function doing it's job, otherwise I'd have thought they were faulty! I bought these to replace my Nicky Clark straightners after 10 years, my God they were brilliant. I have a Babyliss Professional Hairdryer and it's brilliant so thought I would buy the straightner. My hair is thick and I have to keep going over and over my hair to get it to look straight. I am now going to buy the GHD straightner. Also there is a buzzing noise which is not normal. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IT IS RUBBISH! Waste of money!!
I am delighted with these straighteners. I've used GHD's for years now and like most people are I worry about changing brand, so happy that I have. I will be another pair for my daughter, comes with a matt. I have fine damaged hair, used the lowest setting, which you can store in its memory & my hair was perfection all the day long. They have a humming sound when you turn them on which is the frizz ion plates vibrating apparently; you just feel like the machine works for you, without a need to go over the same strands again. The flex is 3m long and swivels. I also have the Diamond Hairdryer so together yours spoilt. Just that good this pair.
As soon as I turned these on, they made a very unnerving buzzing sounds.It got a little worse when I was straightening my hair.It produced an alright result. I have long and dark curly hair that needs a good few 15-20mins to straighten.This took a little longer than normal and even though it came out quite straight, it didn't stay straight for as long as other straighteners I've used (not only the expensive ones).The whole time I was using it, I was worried about the buzzing, and due to the longevity of keeping the straightness, I wasn't impressed.
I'm a bit gutted because I read the reviews and was fully expecting an annoying buzzing sound but omg it's a lot louder than you think. I'm not usually someone to be put off by such things but I'm seriously contemplating returning for something else as it's like there's a cricket living in your ear. Really nice straighteners other than that; I have fine, bright blonde hair and they made me look like I'd just had a professional blow out which is nice. The plates are quite short so bear that in mind
These are probably the worst straighteners I’ve ever used. They do the job - you can straighten and curl your hair, but your hair definitely doesn’t glide through the plates easily. They’re also SO noisy, which I’ve never experienced with straighteners before. I had mine for 2 years and then they broke - they turn on and the digital display says the temperature is rising, but then the plates are still stone cold. I definitely wouldn’t recommend these, I can’t believe how much more expensive they are than other babyliss straighteners that are much better.
