So I’m a barber. I’ve owned lots of clippers. This one is too large for my hands, I am a petite female though. I wanted to return it and screwed up on timing so I couldn’t. But I will keep and continue using. A huge issue for me is the battery life. I have the gold trimmer like these, I have no issues doing 14 hair cuts over an 8 hour period and it last just fine. Not these clippers. I’ve gotten to where I have to charge them when I leave for lunch or they don’t last. Other wise they cut great. They are pretty quite. Oh the guards are flimsy and cheap but luckily all my wahl guards fit it or else I’d be screwed cause one broke a few days after use. I’ve never had that happen in my career. I miss my wahls. : (

I had bought two of these clippers and they were great , at first ! My gold one has no problems whatsoever , but the black ones , 2 weeks after purchase , were cutting off in mid cut and wouldnt turn back on! I thought they were dead , but they were fully charged and still do it. This company now wont fix or replace them! The clippers I got happen to be bad , but overall , the babyliss clipper is a good clipper for anyone interested , just be careful who you purchase from. I will NOT be buying from these people again.

Everything is good, saw some reviews that said you could get a used one that didn’t work… so I bought the insurance with it since it’s still like 70$ under Amazon. Got it and it felt like someone else had it but it was way too clean and everything was packed nicely. Had some charge on it that lasted for like 20 minutes without charge… everything seems to work fine so far. It’s been like 2 weeks and used it like 3-4 times already so all good. Better prices than Amazon or anywhere else! (They are original not replicas)
So definitely wasn’t a fake. If you’re like me when I was shopping buying for this low of a price is scary. But I will say you get what you pay for. The blade is the basic metal taper blade with the groves so don’t expect the graphite blade. Btw I purchased the fx870s (silver) for exact purchase if that matters to you (it does for me). It’s a good clipper and has a quality feel. The click lever with the notches is a favorite of mine right now since it helps you not get lost in the fade. The shipping was as expected and arrived on time.
I've had these clippers for a little over a year. And let me just say I haven't used them in months. After about 3 months they started being super loud also, they started pulling. I noticed because I was using a 3 guard and my client said "ouch!" I immediately stopped using them and have been scared to use them ever since. I'm disappointed because they aren't cheap and got compliments on them but in reality they are cheaply made in my opinion.
I received two these clippers following the hype of them. I now can say if you getting for the look its very eye grabbing but not worth for high volumes of hair cutting. they started loosing the battery charge quickly in the first 5 months had to get the second one but was determined not the give up on it to fast. Now that I'm 1.5 years into having them i don't grab for them now. I'm trying the lo fx pros, I've been pleased to say i like the blade on it. still in review of it though. i would not recommend the babylisspro fx clippers if you are looking for something for hgh volume haircut average a day. Paint wears off easy. batteries burn out but the is the cost of going cordless.

The blade developed a chip and I purchsased replacement blade from Sally's beauty supply. Replacing the blade is pretty straight forward. You remove the two top screws which hold in place the top blade and pins down the bottom blade that is seated in the cam follower. After replacing the top blade, I oiled the clippers and turned them on only to be greeted by an abnormally loud buzzing. My research led me to believe this was an issue with the cam follower wearing down (though this is not likely, as I had only used the clippers like five times). These are so lightweight and so quiet! I love Babyliss products but these are just amazing. Even the more experienced barbers with more expensive clippers that I work with love them and want a set. The only downside is that the run time is only 2 hours and I work in a barber shop but at least I can plug them in and keep it moving. With my other set i have to set the clippers on the charger to get them to recharge and be cordless again. I don't regret this purchase at all. Plus I got a great deal between my professional discount and the 25% off. This seems used and I’ve seen other posts that say the same the packaging is not the same that is pictured which leads me to believe that it is not brand new, and may not even be the same brand that is advertised the packaging is dented. The packaging is dirty has hair has dust, just seems like a big mess and this is supposed to be a Christmas present for someone very disappointed .
