Im dumbfounded by anyone rating this junk more than one star. Ive never had any problem at all curling my hair until using this iron. It quite literally WOULDNT CURL MY HAIR! The only thing it did was leave kinks where the clamp met the bottom of my hair. Its being returned tomorrow. What a waste of time and money!

I'm not saying this iron doesn't have competition. But the irons comparable to this one are 2-3 times the price or more. This iron is amazing. I have all the sizes of it in regular and the marcel versions. The curls last me days and my hair is very fine and hard to hold a curl. It also curls really fast so I don't have to hold my hair on it forever. I can do my whole head with extensions in 10 minutes. I've tried so many irons and go back to these ones again and again.

I purchased this curling iron after a recommendation of my hairstylist. Yes, the color is great, but you can also tell the quality compared to other 'mainstream' brands, is much greater. LOVE that the cord is wrapped in softer material so it doesn't 'kink' up or fnanage easily like other brands that are just plastic covered. It doesn't 'pull' at baby hairs and it doesn't burn your hair to oblivion (love that you can set a temp to your liking!) Also, the metal used on this iron is much better for your hair, compared to many that will fry and damage your hair very quickly.

My cheap old ceramic held curl and the barrel was 1.5" longer. I will admit the cord is long and seems like it would hold up. So knowing I'm naturally thick wavy I assumed that titanium would be a good choice for my next iron. I tried this an instantly found the barrel to be ridiculously short for my past the shoulder length hair. 2nd I noticed it didn't hold the hair in the clamp all that well unless you positioned it right. 3rd it didn't glide through my hair like the last, I was worried it was frying/sticking to the titanium. I like to wand-wrap & curl various strands and this just wasn't making nice curls/waves using either technique, they came off as really flat. What's worse is that the curl didn't even hold up 10min before severely falling or just going ... MoreMy cheap old ceramic held curl and the barrel was 1.5" longer. What's worse is that the curl didn't even hold up 10min before severely falling or just going straight. Normally my old cheap ceramic would hold up for 2 days with no extra product. I tried various heat settings bc I thought I was doing something wrong but just no luck. I returned it within a week and I'm going to try to find something with a longer barrel that will hold a curl.
This is just as described. My other one broke when I dropped it so I just needed another one. This one is much better. However, when it said it was open box, I thought it just meant that someone had opened it and not used it. It was clearly used, but I didnt mind as I needed it and it was a good price. Works perfectly.
The curling iron is light weight, has multiple heat settings and a "hot shot" button. I have not used the "hot shot" button because there hasn't been a need for it, yet. I purchased this 1" curling iron because it is ceramic. I have the Babyliss flat iron too, which I like as well. This curling iron works great! My curl/waves hold forever, it seems, with little to no hair spray. A few minor things to note, the cord is the fabric coated material which doesn't bother me, but if it's a problem for others they may want to know. The tip of the curling iron has grip texture ,but you do need to watch placement of fingers when holding the top because it gets hot near the barrel part--this doesn't bother me because I know the spacing of the top and I am careful and I don't ... MoreThe curling iron is light weight, has multiple heat settings and a "hot shot" button. Overall, I do recommend it and I would buy it again!
Just like others have commented the handle gets warm even when it's turned off and has been turned off for days if it's left plugged in. Make sure you unplug it. The narrow pointed tip is awkward and not very functional. I wished it came in a longer barrel. It does create beautiful curls and beach waves. It is not too pricey.
I purchased my third of this model in January. I am exchanging it today, because like the two before it, it quickly stopped working.Pros: It's hard to find a nice 1" iron. It glides on my coarse hair so nicely. It gets very hot. The cord is very nice, long and cloth wrapped.Cons: This one was making a crackling sound in the first week and today (April 3) would not turn on. I use it every other day at most. The first one I had lasted a few years; the second one, only a few months. I vowed not to buy another, but bought a third because I had a gift card and couldn't find a 1" iron that had as nice of a ceramic coating. This one lasted 3.5 months. I'm careful to turn them off since there's no auto off, and it only was used minimally each day.I'd gladly pay more to ... MoreI purchased my third of this model in January. Amazing curling iron! I never knew how to use a curling iron and after watching several tutorials this iron helped me reach my hairstyle goal! I believe that using curling irons takes practice before aiming your hairstyle. I've bought many irons and "didn't do the job right" but realistically, im the one who didn't know how to maneuver the iron.
Purchased this because my hairstylist uses it.*It gets hot fast & works. No smell coming from it.*Gorgeous curls that are still going strong on the second day (today).*I did however burn my fingers bad grabbing the tip- it's way too small. After that I figured out how to curl it without needing to touch the end at all.*All these reviews saying it doesn't curl or your hair won't hold a curl- that's your hair not the curling irons fault.Put a heat protectant on, a mouse- blow dry/air dry, THEN curl. Add a texture spray &/or just a soft hair spray.*Recommend
