I gave 4 stars and not 5, only because we are yet to catch this pesky but huge rat. Sly thing took the bait once and got back out. I’ve seen him and I think he’s just too big for this trap. I’ve tried different bait- cheese, banana, peanut butter on bread. Apart from being outsmarted by a filthy pest, I love the design. It’s a humane way of catching rats and mice and I don't have to worry about getting my fingers snapped in a trap when I set it.

Didn't catch any rats in this one, I feel like our rats are probably finding a food source at a neighbouring property and so weren't interested in climbing in the trap to get what was offered there. However, the reason for the low rating is the trap size. If this was to hold multiple rats they'd have to be standing on each other's heads to fit. One rat would be a squeeze, let alone several. Domestic rats are pretty hefty and this trap is just a bit too small for purpose.

I have managed to catch upto 5 rats at a time near my chicken coup with this trap, would highly recommend

Live catching in multiples is wonderful and the ability to release native animals is an essential bonus.

This is the best trap we have tried for around our chicken coop, sometimes catching multiple rats in one go, even catching them on occasion when I have forgotten to bait it. Well worth the money!

Well made. As stated it is a rat trap so the weight required to activate the gate will not be activated even by a large mouse. Will donate to my son on his farm.

The trap arrived very quickly, but there were no instructions, hints or tip with it. I used the Pestrol site and to date after a month still haven’t had a response, so not sure what’s going on there.

All of your rat-mice traps have caught rodents within 20 or so mins of being set, and keeps on luring them in every time we re-set, wonderful product as are all your products

Waste of money, Rodents got in and out no problem. Way over priced for this item
