I absolutely LOVE this sock! I originally bought a pair because I liked the color (Ethereal Blue), but soon fell in love with them. These have become my favorite sock for running Six Day races. After the first couple days, your feet feel like they've been beaten with baseball bats and these socks provide a comfortable cushion layer. Material is soft and non-abrasive on skin, while being very durable. My only complaint is that I wish they made these socks with tops that were something between Quarters and No-Shows. I need them to be tall enough to keep debris out, but the Quarters are hot in summer. Awesome sock, though!

Amazing Improvement to My Trail Runs

Until recently, I never gave much thought to using expensive running socks. I got cheap but decent quality socks from Amazon and thought they were fine. Best Hiking and Boot Sock Ever!

I bought two pairs of these socks 5 years ago for mother/daughter backpacking trip (2 weeks) on the John Muir Trail. I've used them many more times as boot socks over the years. I've also hiked on the Tahoe Rim Trail (1 week), in Hawaii with Teva's in rainforest and lava rock areas, and up to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon (day hike) in 115 degree heat from the Colorado River after rafting in those same socks! I discovered Balega training for my first marathon as a 49-year old runner. I've never had a blister in Balega socks nor lost a toe nail (did lose a big toe nail after cycling from Montana through the Canadian Rockies in another brand). Best Socks I Own!

Cant say enough about these socks. From the second you put them on, you know they’re different. Soft, light feel but plenty of cushion. They hug and support the foot just firmly enough in all the right places. I wear these for running and for playing tennis (in addition to being out and about) and they stay dry, comfortable and they are very durable. Love the quarter because it goes high enough to protect the ankles and Achilles from shoe abrasion. Good color selection and they resist odor quite well. Love these!!

I just finished the Tour Du Mont Blanc

I bought 2 pairs of Balega hiking socks online, just relying on reviews for info. I wore them everyday under my Merrell boots and trekked 75 mountainous miles around the Mont Blanc Massif in France, Italy and Switzerland. All around me companions were succumbing to blisters and taping their feet. I didn't get one. My socks performed beautifully and, once dry, didn't smell of much at all. I am a huge convert.

Only Sock I'll Wear for Long Runs

I've been running with this sock exclusively for the last 4 years, anything from 5 miles to 105. My weird shaped feet were once prone to blisters in just about every shoe/sock combo until I started using these Blister Resist socks. They are comfortable, durable, and they do what they say. I've run many, many ultras in these socks and as long as I'm not running in ones that are too worn out, I do not get blisters and my feet come out looking looking WAY better than the stompers my running buddies pull out of their shoes. I have several pairs that I bought 4 years ago and they are somehow still hanging on.

Super thick and comfy but get warm and pill badly

These socks are incredibly thick (thicker than my wool hiking socks). They are very comfortable but due to the thickness, I cannot wear tight fitting shoes with them. I only wear my 2E width shoes with these socks. The thickness indicated to me that these shoes would be durable, but on the very first wash I was disappointed to see that they pilled badly.They are too warm to wear in summer but I am using them once a week on my winter recovery runs. I ordered online and they took a long time to arrive and even then, were delivered to the wrong address.

These socks truly live up to their name!

I just spent 11 consecutive days in Walt Disney World with these socks on my feet every day. We logged on average over 20,000 steps per day, and I experienced absolutely zero blisters, hot spots, rubs, or other issues with my feet during that entire time.To be fair, I also used Body Glide brand Foot Glide each day, and rotated among several pairs of really good quality shoes, each with good quality after market shoe inserts. Either way, I still feel like the Balega Blister Resist socks were a key element of that combination, and I'll swear by the effectiveness of these socks.Well worth every penny I spent on them!
