I am an avid walker: both outside and treadmill. I am a little persnickity when it comes to socks b/c I want the right support and comfort. While the initial reaction may be that these socks are pricey, I would suggest that they are worth every penny. Worth it in comfort, support and the way they are made... will last a long time.

LOVE these socks! I am slowly replacing my old balegas with this style — the cushioning is perfect for wearing in my golf shoes and seem to be the only socks that protect my toes from hitting the top of the shoe. I also use them for running and they protect my feet from hot spots. Perfection!

I have been running in Feetures socks for years, but now that I’m wearing Balega I have a new favorite brand. The Balega Ultraglide No Show is so soft and cushy, not too cushy but just right. They hug my feet, but aren’t so tight as to be uncomfortable like Feetures. I wear them for exercise, golf and for everyday, too. I’m wearing a pair right now!

My running store introduced me to Balegas when I started running a few years ago and I am so thankful they did. Balegas are fabulous to run in and I actually use them as my daily socks too! Super comfortable, they hug your feet without being constricting, they're breathable, no seams to cause chafing, and depending on the style some even have a bit of arch support. I love the no show style. I also love SockGeek and the many styles and colors they keep in stock as well as the fast shipping!
I have been buying socks from SockGeek for many years. They never fail to provide excellent service. My favorite socks are Balega. This time I bought and was thoroughly satisfied with the UltraGlide, No Show. They are the perfect sock for the Altra crappy tongue. They keep the tongue from rubbing on my ankle!
I've used these socks for a few years running everything from 5K's to ultras and have never had a blister issue. Arch support is excellent. The change I would make would be tomake the small "L" and "R" for the left and right sock clearer. Several times I've grabbed a pair only to find out I had matched two left or two right socks.
I wear a EEEE width running shoe. But as good a running shoe I buy, I still had a major problem with the big toe on my left foot. I even have a podiatrist trim the nail on that toe, but the inflammation continues to the point I would try toe spacers and cortisone cream. I saw the UltraGlide and decided to give them a try. But, from the beginning that toe pain went away. And the toe spacers are on the shelf. I surmised the socks were the problem the last 5 years. I immediately ordered more UltraGlide, of different colors so I could easily keep them in pairs. The fact that the left sock is made differently from the right sock must be the secret to the success for me. I am now doing my 5 miles every morning pain free. Hallelujah!
I'm an average (slow, 55-yr-old) runner, doing 4 miles three times a week. But after using them for 6 months, I'll say that these are probably the best that I've ever worn for comfort and performance. Smartwool was very good, but these are just better. Wicking moisture, keeping my feet cooler and working perfectly with the shoes (New Balance Fresh Foam More V3) to make the miles a little easier.And so far, they seems to be holding up really well.
These socks are synthetic, and extremely hot and slippery. I wear HOKA running shoes, and I slide around on the inside of my shoe. The synthetic 'wicking' of these socks make my feet sweat even more. Very uncomfortable. Minor point: the socks are labeled 'right' and 'left'. This is super annoying early in the morning when I am trying to put them on in the dark. I usually get it wrong, and later in the day realize that I have them backwards. Can't really tell until I look at the label. Why bother? But it does irritate my OCD to have the wrong sock on the wrong foot.
I have always struggled with getting blisters in my shoes no matter the size, width, what have you. When I learned that having pure cotton socks can cause blisters I was turned on to this brand. I absolutely love these socks, they have the best colors and are so soft and I have not gotten a single blister while walking long distances or running in my shoes. Life changing for me!
