Purchased these for my daughter, who runs cross country and distance in track. She has a type of eczema that causes her feet to sweat. Her biggest complaint overall when she runs is that her feet are super hot. She loves these socks- they work so well to wick away and cool her feet on her distance runs.

These are the best socks I’ve found! I am a runner and my feet sweat horribly. These socks are not damp when I finish my 5 mile run. They also keep my toes warm when I wear them on the slopes. They are perfect for daily wear.

I purchased 2 pairs of these several years ago before a 3 week trip to Italy in July. I alternated these and wore them pretty much every day! Washed them in the sink at our rented houses & hotels at night with some soap, put them on the towel rack to dry overnight (even though they really only needed about an hour or so) and Presto! fresh, clean socks that were cool and allowed me to walk all over Rome and the Tuscany region several miles everyday for 3 weeks! I loved these socks so much... they went with me when we traveled to Ireland the following summer and to the United Kingdom (all 3 kingdoms) last summer! I've probably walked several hundred miles in them and they are still in great shape! I ordered some more this summer because I wanted some different colors ... With the Balega, it's like you don't even notice that you have a sock on. I'm not sure how the lifespan will stack up, but for the price point I haven't found anything comparable. Highly suggest this sock for road runners in it for the long haul!
I read that these tend to run a bit small, so even though I wear size 10.5, I ordered extra-large socks that are meant for sizes 12-14. But, even at this size the sock is way too tight for me. Also, these are billed as "No Show", but they aren't anywhere close to being no-show and go up very visibly on my ankle. Perhaps if I'd gotten the large, they'd be more no-show, but then they'd be even tighter on my foot. While I didn't try the large, it seems to me that the foot is the same on both and the sock is just a bit longer to accommodate the longer foot...so, I suspect that the large would be just not no-show...but I'm not going to order any more to find out. Quality-wise, these seem fine and I'd have had no complaints there.
Just bought a lot of these. The old ultralight version had more fabric in the back where your shoe hits( it has a separate white band) and were a little thicker. See picture. I just don't think these new ultralights will last as long. The old ones also had sooo much more cushioning but were light at the same time. idk. I'll see how long before this new version wears by the back of the foot. I guess I still recommend. New ones still very soft.
Balega has been my favorite brand for years. I decided to try the Ultralight socks for this hot Arizona summer and I’m glad I did. They hug my feet, still have a little cushion and keep my feet cool. I bought a new supply of Belega socks…my old standby, blister resistant and new ultralight. I had not worn internist before. They are fantastic in shoes that do not require thicker socks. I am now a hugr fan of both.
These socks are synthetic, and extremely hot and slippery. I wear HOKA running shoes, and I slide around on the inside of my shoe. The synthetic 'wicking' of these socks make my feet sweat even more. Very uncomfortable. Minor point: the socks are labeled 'right' and 'left'. This is super annoying early in the morning when I am trying to put them on in the dark. I usually get it wrong, and later in the day realize that I have them backwards. Can't really tell until I look at the label. Why bother? But it does irritate my OCD to have the wrong sock on the wrong foot.
Sometimes I end up wearing my workout socks much longer than planned...that shower just doesn't happen right away and sometimes I'm doing several workouts in the morning. These socks do not stay damp, keep feet dry, therefore no sweaty feet or bacteria issues. Plus they are just the right height at the heel and ankle. It's an investment but these are worth it.
