As a first time buyer of Gunpla kit, I was super surprised at the quality of this $25 kit. Some of the parts were a bit finicky, but nothing a first timer like myself couldn't handle. I have never, ever, done anything with gundams. However, I decided to try out a kit since I like trying new crafts. Even though the instructions were in Japanese, the photos and labels of the parts made it really easy to build. Took a couple hours but still me a complete beginner to gundams built it without any problems. I also found it super fun and even wished I had more parts to built after I was done. The figure itself looks great but I might need to paint some parts to make it more accurate looking. It is also super poseable, which is a lot of fun. 10/10 kit
This model kit was really fun to make, and is a great addition to any collection it took me only 3 hours to assemble and is posable and durable. The only problem with it is it is very simple in design compared to most gundams i have seen. There are also some parts you will have to paint
An outstanding sculpt and articulation make this model kit one of my favorites ever! This kit is well worth the price-- it's actually a steal if you can get it for around $15! I highly recommend it!
I'm not as fond of it as I am the lupus and rex models as the face is all white, had to use markers for the grey parts on the face, yellow on the shoulders, and gold and silver on some frame parts but I don't expect that to be anything but gray. Small issue, no one's fault, just minor complaints! Would definitely recommend it to anyone that's a fan of the Barbatos line. Only comes with the mace and sword, gun comes in an option kit.
Talk about starting a new line of gunpla on a high note. Gundam barbatos is probably the most bang for your buck as far as bandai models are concerned, hell, any models for that matter.The only downside for this kit is its lack of accessories and the need to paint some of the more minor details. But the more you paint, the better this kit would look. Can pass for RG if you put some work into it.
The 1/144 HG Barbatos is fun to build and has engineering that I've not seen in any Gundam kit before, the ankles are superb with a ludicrous amount of pivot (you can turn them 360 degrees)Mightyape had this delivered to me in less than a week and the build was very satisfying.
