I could not recommend this game anymore. We help host a board game night each week with the local rural community. This is so quick to set up and learn, allows so many players and is a real quick and easy good game.Would give it six out of five if I could!

Probably my all time favorite dice game. The artwork it stellar and the gameplay is polished. Super easy to learn and plays very fast. It does have a push your luck element, but there is definitely strategy involved. My one and only issue is the age range. I play with my wife and 6 & 8 year olds, and after the first game we decided it was a little to adult for them. There is a lot of shooting each other (obviously), so the kids had a hard time differentiating shooting the character or the person. We even tried calling each other by our character names, but the kids would still say stuff like "I don't want to shoot mommy"...kinda funny but sad too. We are saving this for adult/teen game night!

Bang! the dice game feels like a combination between King of Tokyo, Yahtzee, and the classic game of lying, Mafia (or Ultimate Werewolf, depending on where you grew up). Each player has a special ability and a health bar, as well as a face down card. The only player to not have a facedown card is the Sheriff; he flips his face up. There are 3 factions: the Deputy's protect the Sheriff, the Outlaws try to kill the Sheriff, and the Renegades want to be the last player left in the game. The trick is that nobody knows who is who other than the Sheriff. Very fun party game, and it is good for all ages. If I had the money I would get it.

Clever, well-designed game... I love the different characters you can be, with their backstories and unique powers. I love that it doesn't shrug the theme and shy away from the racism/tropes of the time. I love the colorful dice and tokens. But, the main part of the intrigue seems to be the Mafia/Werewolf/Resistance who's-who mystery the game relies on. That was the only mechanic I felt fell short. You know who the sheriff is, and within a few turns, you know who everyone else is. So, it wasn't an addition to the fun like it should have been. I'm not sure how you would fix it. I'm glad it's on my shelf as an 8 player party warm-up, but I will much sooner be grabbing Mascarade or Resistance to accomplish the same task with simpler rules and more of that fun intrigue.

So, for a dozen dollars, you can fill out your $100 order and take a chance on a new game. That's what I was doing when I bought Bang! The Dice Game. Was it a good choice? Let's find out.For your money, you get a hand full of role and character cards, a rule sheet, some bullet and some arrow tokens, and 5 dice. The cards and tokens are of decent quality and good art--the names of some of the characters are quite funny when you get the joke. The rules are short, simple, and understandable. The dice are of good quality and I really like them. The game can play up to 8 people, but at least 3 are needed to start. The dice are of good quality and I really like them. The game can play up to 8 people, but at least 3 are needed to start. There are some cards that help you randomly determine which side you are on in this chaotic shoot-out: The Law (1 Sheriff and up to 2 Deputies), The Outlaws (up to 3), or the Renegades (up to 2). If you are the Sheriff, reveal your role; otherwise, keep it hidden from the other players. Also, there are several personas you can play, each with their own special ability. These are also randomly dealt out to the players, though this time do it face up.So, what are we doing here? Having us a shoot out, of course! The goal to winning the game depends on who side you are on--keep in mind, you win as a team, even if you die (unless you are the Sheriff). The game ends if the Sheriff is killed. If the Renegades are the only ones left, they win. Otherwise the Outlaws win. If all of the Outlaws and Renegades are taken out while the Sheriff still stands, the Law wins..So how do you play? By rolling dice and making the choice of pushing your luck through rerolls. While I am not going to go through all of the different results of the dice, let's just say that the between the Indians shooting arrows at you, the mishandling of the some dynamite, and some craziness with the Gatling gun along with taking shots at people you hope aren't on your side, there can be some big shenanigans going on in which even the Sheriff can be shot by his/her own teammates. Finally, is it worth the money? First, let me say two things. The game gets better when there are more players (adds a bit more uncertainty to who is who). A 3 player game is playable and okay, but is a little lacking when compared to larger player counts. Second, the special abilities of the personas coupled with the push-your-luck mechanic makes the dice rolls more exciting and suspenseful than they should be. I gave the Value a 5 because we had a blast. Is it worth having? I say, absolutely! Its quick (played 8 games in about an hour the first time the family set down to play it) and its pretty fun, with lots of laughs when the dice don't go your way and some Oh, Snaps! when they do. Pick it up for some great filler gaming or for a quick shootout during lunch.

Bang! The Dice game improves on everything that Bang! The Card Game lacks. It is fast and furious but the player elimination is not a big deal in the dice game as the play is so quick. The game says plays 3-8 but any less then 5 and you will not be getting the full experience. The game is cheap enough that I would think most people should have it in their collection, especially with the expansion coming out soon. The components are all solid, and the chunky dice are great production and will have a long shelf life.

The game is easy for people to understand, even with some confusion of who wants to kill who. Never had a session that didn't erupt into laughter and tense rolls of the dice. It has player elimation, but it's a quick enough game that no one feels left out for too long. Definitely plays better with a higher player count. You definitely get a lot of BANG! for your buck.

Better than the card game
30 July 2022

Bang! the card game was one of the first hobby style games I ever played. I loved it, yet games could last for hours with all the whiskey cards for healing (which we ended up removing from the game after one was used). Eliminated players might have to wait a long time before another game was started.Bang! the Dice game shortens the game considerably, while still maintaining the feel of the original. It's actually more fun on a whole than the card game and you get to play more games in a period of time which is a plus. The arrow tokens and having Indians attack is a great mechanic that can eliminate players who might be winning and a nice element to the game. Highly recommend.

Deduction, Dice, and Dynamite

This is a great game for large groups. I have played this game well over 30 times now. Sometimes with only a few people and sometimes with a full table, it hasn't disappointed. Great quick fun, gets everyone talking at the table. Quick turns of dice rolling mixed with some strategic decisions and social deduction make this a great buy, especially at under $20.

Great dice party game

What is board game for "normal" people? It's dice game for sure.Dice bang is a great party game - every game lasts for 10-15 minutes, but you have enough space for bluff, thinking, planing and getting fun. Greate gateway and great game for filling free time even for geek players.
