I love that this wears *literally* all day (in hot humid houston), and doesn't transfer AT ALL. I get no makeup on my clothes or on my wife when I hug her.Color matching was a little tricky, I ended up with a perfect that match. I'm quite pale, usually all foundations are too dark, but I wasn't the lightest shade. I also really appreciate the light warm tone, because that can be difficult to find. I have eczema, acne, and seborrheic dermatitis. this triggers none of them. Good medium coverage, and it looks natural, but it was hard to figure out how to get it to look right. It *will* accentuate dry patches you didn't know you had, and cling to creases if your skin is dry. I ended up upping my moisturizing routine with an HA serum and adjusting my exfoliating scheme, which has fixed these issues.I apply it over the serum and a hydrating sun screen. I use a brush if I need more coverage, but like the finish best with a sponge. I usually go over any brush-applied areas with a damp sponge. It does last best with setting powder if you have oily areas, and I use a spray on top of that because I don't like to be too matte. On days where I don't need much coverage, I'll add a little dry of my sun screen and blend with my fingers and that works awesomely and eliminates the need for so many tools... It doesn't apply great with fingers unless something is mixed in.I hate that it's such a pain, BUT I've never had a foundation look so good, not anger my skin, or STAY ON MY FACE. It was worth it for me to figure out if I could make it work for me, and I did. I might shop around again when this bottle runs out, but it's nice to know I have a solid option.Choose your own adventure!

I have melasma above my upper lip and on each cheek from years of surfing. I switched from the Dermablend Cover Crème to this BarePro and really love this product. It feel and looks very natural and doesn’t transfer or make my skin overly sweat. Dermablend seemed to clog my pores and definitely transferred easily when I hugged someone (oof!).I read another review before purchasing this product and I would also encourage putting a sample on your skin and walking around the store with it to allow it to fully oxidize and see the true color. I thought I would be the Golden Nude but when I gave it time to oxidize it wasn’t the best shade for me, Warm Natural is.I wear this with the Prime Time Primer and my skin looks natural and healthy and allows it to breathe and ... I really really wanted to like this product. Not only is it clean and HAS SPF (which is hella awesome), it's also pretty affordable for a higher end product. I was so excited to try it, especially cause of all the good reviews. Background: I have combination skin. My T-zone is oily and cheeks are dry. I also have acne prone skin, with all types of cystic acne and scars you can think of. I have never had dry patches on my T zone before, this product proved me wrooong!I applied it on first time, and noticed basically dry patches over my whole face. Mind you I have pretty complicated skin so I am used to more "dewy" foundation getting extra oily on my forehead and matte foundation clumping and sticking to my dry spots on my cheeks but I have never had dry patches ON ... Mind you I have pretty complicated skin so I am used to more "dewy" foundation getting extra oily on my forehead and matte foundation clumping and sticking to my dry spots on my cheeks but I have never had dry patches ON MY OILY FOREHEAD. I half expected things to get complicated on my cheeks but oh boy my whole face looked dryer than some of my hinge match conversations! I tried everything for the next 2 weeks on top of my usual skincare routine. I tried different hydrating primers, I tried different sticky primers, I tried to put on more moisturizer, I tried almost everything I can think of. It did help with the forehead for some products but the foundation seeps and showed up patchy on my cheeks and acne no. matter. what. It made my skin look dry in places that have been oily my whole life, like what?? This product might or might not work for y'all, but if you guys have even a little dryer skin or textured skin, this will amplify it 100x. I have never tried bare minerals before but I have to say, this was horrible first impression.I'm so glad some of the other reviews also had the same experience as me because I thought I was crazy for a second. It definitely gave me a brand new experience I never wish to go through again. I don't recommend it to anyone even with oily skin because even my oily T-zone didn't stand a chance. It made everything look crusty ...If you guys didn't buy this at Ulta (with their 60 day return policy) or you can't return this item, I recommend you to mix it in with a dewy hydrating foundation. When I mixed it with a more sheer hydrating foundation it wasn't as dry (still patchy asf on my acne but not as bad) and gave it a pretty decent low-medium to medium coverage. Back to my journey for finding the right foundation 😭
That's the best thing about this product. I've used it a few years and I've tried a lot of different foundations. This wins hands down as the best for lastability!! More so than the toughest brands of Clarins, Lancôme or Estée Lauder. After working through the pandemic and wearing face masks every day, I've tested many foundations (I would still wear my make up as the face masks don't cover my entire face and I have insecurities around my face being red and having a little rosacea) but Bare Pro is the only one that stayed put from start to finish. You will need a very good cleanser to remove it properly! Bare Pro tip - apply with a sponge and dab it on the areas where you need the most coverage rather than using fingers or a brush. A sponge will make it go much further with a touch of moisturiser underneath. I only gave 4 stars though because it's supposed to be non-acnegenic but I did notice more breakouts with this product (compared to Clinique Beyond Perfecting, which is my all time favourite). It can also be tricky to find the right shade - a lot of undertones are either too pink or too yellow for my fair Irish skin. I eventually settled on no.7 which seemed to be the best for my tone but just know that the shade does darken a little once it dries. It's still a great foundation I love it and I still wear it sometimes, just not everyday anymore since I noticed the extra few spots around my nose and my jawline but I think that's just my face being extra persnickety!!
LOVE this foundation--HOLY GRAIL, however it requires some "how-to" to get the hang of how to apply it. After much trial and error here's what works best for me:1) I use my moisturizer and then a face oil (I have combo, acne prone skin, very oily T-zone)2) apply 2 pumps to the back of my hand and then dab it onto my cheeks, chin, nose and forehead working it in with my fingers just a little3) blend quickly with a damp beauty blender avoiding my undereye area.It dries VERY quickly so if you miss the window you will get very uneven coverage and if you try to blend it more, the product will start to lift and it will be a patchy disaster! It takes some work but I promise once you get it down it will be the only foundation you ever need! I have dry, light, neutral/olive skin with yellow undertones and I’m obsessed with this foundation! I get the Cashmere 06 shade. It’s the first time I’ve ever been able to completely color match my skin! Typically with neutral shades they are orange-y even if they say yellow undertones. This is shade is very true to the description!I use an spf and moisturizer first, then layer on the foundation with a moist sponge and it looks so natural and dewy. I get compliments on my skin all the time now! I saw some reviews that said it dried them out, maybe if you’re prone to that (like me) moisturize the heck out of your skin before applying and use a wet makeup sponge to apply. That seems to keep me dewy and not cakey.
Wow. That’s all I can say.Pros-- wide color range with pictures distinctly labeled warm , cool, neutral, making it very easy to find your perfect color- unlike most long wearing foundations, this doesn’t look chalky, thick, or mask like. I did not care for the lipstick, it went on with an uneven texture, didn’t have a nice finish, and didn’t wear well. The powder foundation was much too yellow and didn’t look nice on my combination skin that’s often much to dry for anything other than a cream. You guys have really stepped it up with bare pro and the mineral liquid lipstick! Blown away by the color selection you offer that includes everyone. It is so frustrating when a brand does not even make a color that works for you. I am fair and cool, there’s a lack of these shades in the market. The shade shell matched perfect.
I bought the BareMinerals Barepro foundation and although it looks good on my face, it does not come off my clothes. I have 2 tops that have been ruined by the foundation getting on my clothes.
