Barilla Pasta Penne Rigate 500g

Made the same way it has been made for generations, using just 2 simple ingredients: high-quality, carefully selected durum wheat and water to create the authentic Italian taste. Making Italy's best pasta for over 140 years, Barilla's classic Penne Rigate n.73 is one of the most famous Italian pasta shapes and popular all over Italy. The name Penne, which means ""pen"" in Italian, is derived from the shape of the pasta. The tubular cut with beveled ends is inspired by the quill of an old writing pen. Suitable for almost any pasta sauce, whether it's oil, dairy or tomato-based, opt for a classic Italian dish like Penne all'Arrabbiata or Penne alla Carbonara. Our Penne Rigate n.73 cooks in just 11 minutes. Simply bring water to a boil in a large pot, add the Penne, and a generous pinch of sea salt to the cooking water to enhance the pasta's flavour. For authentic ""al dente"" pasta, boil uncovered, stirring occasionally for 11 minutes. For pasta that's more tender, boil for an additional minute. Drain well and serve immediately with your favourite Barilla sauce.

My favorite brand and shape. I love Barilla because it actually has a subtle flavor unlike some other boxed pasta brands that are simply bland. This cooks up as close to freshly made as you can buy in a box. It’s our go-to. As for the shape, penne feel satisfying (if you’re watching portions) because they fill your plate. And they hold sauce for richer flavor. I love the tubes and ridges for most sauces.

If you love pasta as much as I do, these noodles can be used for almost anything. Alfredo, mastacholi, vodka pasta, any pasta you name it! I use these pasta noodles probably at least 3 times a week. Whether it be for lunch, dinner or mid night snack! If you haven't try these with sausage and broccoli! Quick easy dinner that doesn't take long. I also make these with sausage and sauteed zucchini. You can make so many affordable dinners with these noodles and they don't come out sticky or slimy. Would suggest to anyone at anytime.

A staple for my family. This is often our Friday pasta dinner essential. My son loves to experiment many more inovative pasta recipe with Barilla penne pasta. Whenever we used this penne pasta always it helped us to get many more compliments from our guests. The best feature of it is certainly the price-point. The quantity as well suffices for 3-4 members of the family. Will always reach out to this whenever we think of penne pasta

When I am craving pasta, my go-to is penne by Barilla. The size and texture of these noodles are perfect for holding onto any delicious sauce you might top it with. Cooked el dente, it can’t be beat! Often I just toss it with olive oil, fresh grated Parmesan, garlic salt and some crushed red pepper flakes and I am a happy camper! Their whole wheat version is amazing, too!

Barilla is my go to pasta brand. It was my mother’s go to brand as well. I recently made this baked penne with sweet Italian sausage and everyone at the dinner table loved it. I use this penne frequently and in many recipes including my own. The pasta cooks up perfectly and holds its shape. I recommend this brand for all of your pasta needs.

I never thought life would be so enjoyable after so much pain and heartbreaks. I got my credit report ruined a few years ago because I wasn’t able to pay for my surgery. These issues ruined my credit and my score reduced to 510. My credit history was full of negative items: utility bills, medical bills, charge-off collection in items I was so secretive about everything I do.. I just had to open up to a co-worker about what I'm facing. She recommended Trovian Credit Repair to me. I was very doubtful that he was not going to be of any help but she insisted I should give it a try.. So I went ahead and explained my problems to my greatest surprise. I recently tried Barilla Penne and was blown away by the taste and quality. The pasta cooked perfectly and had a great texture, not too soft and not too firm. The flavor was also spot on, not too bland and not too overpowering. Additionally, I appreciate that the pasta is made with non-GMO ingredients and is produced in a sustainable manner. I will definitely be purchasing Barilla Penne again in the future. Five stars!

When we lived on the east coast it was Prince (remember the line… Tuesday is Prince spaghetti day) or Ronzoni but when we moved west in the late 90’s they weren’t available in many sizes shapes so we tried many others and settled on Barilla. Since the taste is pretty uniform we buy it based on the shape and there’s plenty to choose from and the flavor seems to be always consistent. Local prices vary widely and the food stores are about 40-miles away so we only shop once a month but when I can find it for a buck a box, or less, getting it delivered is a much better alternative. We have at least one box a week and often two during the summers for cold salads mid-week. We have at least one box a week and often two during the summers for cold salads mid-week. It’s a straight pasta on Monday with a red or white sauce (Angle Hair, Thin or Spaghetti), Linguine when we have Cincinnati Chile and a shape for the cold salads (Penne, Rotini, Shells or Elbows) and the occasional Bow-Tie for soups. Not that anyone should care much about what we eat we do so because we’ve never had a disappointment with it and we don’t have to rinse it if eating it hot… we just add some salt and olive oil to the water before adding the pasta and it has never had a starchy taste but it will stick if we don’t add some sauce to the pot or a little more olive oil. Using it for cold salads does require rinsing it. No complaints with this product in any size or shape and at about a buck forty in the stores buying by the case, getting a discount and free shipping is a no-brainier for us. Lately, the price in the stores has jumped so it’s now about 50% more than it was a year ago so buying in bulk makes more sense for the ones we eat the most and individual boxes at the store for only those we use seldom… like Lasagna. Actually, we’ll pay a little more on a per box basis just for the convenience of getting it boxed and the whole thing just goes onto the storage shelves. That’s also worked well for canned cat food but since this is a Barilla review I have no complaints with the product and only purchase it when the price is right and that’s usually on subscribe.

Barilla is a well-known and popular brand of pasta worldwide. Their penne pasta is made from 100% durum wheat semolina and is available in different varieties, including whole wheat, gluten-free, and protein plus which I love. Barilla penne is great for its quality and texture, with a firm and slightly chewy texture that holds up well in sauces. The shape of penne pasta also makes it versatile, as it can hold different types of sauces and ingredients, from simple tomato sauce to creamy and cheesy sauces.
