I used some of this on my horse, We applied a small amount on her whithers, chest and back end because that’s where the flies really bother here. A few moments later she went mad, it started of with bucking and lead to bronking and rearing, she got loose and was running around the place, completely in destress. We we’re very lucky that no one was hurt including her and she was completely uncomfortable for ages after until we managed to hose it off her. Definitely would not recommend, unless you know that your horse doesn’t react to it badly.

We live in a very rural location and each year I'm sure the flies get bigger! Our poor horses are harangued by them from dawn till dusk. I always buy the Super Plus Fly Repellent as it's the only thing that gives the horses some relief and it works a treat.
Effective fly spray, nice smell as well. Horses have reacted well to the spray.
The best we've found for our sweet itch mare on dartmoor near water sources, helps to keep midges and horseflys at bay, and gives her some relief from those pesky, unwanted critters.

I was looking for a spray that helped lessen my horses attractionto horse flies whilst ridden; before hacking I covered him in Barrier Super Plus - I was bitterly disappointed no sooner than I'd left the yard he was covered with horse flies and I spent the ride squatting them off him.
I have used this product for years. It works very well and smells lovely and keeps my horses coat in good condition. This product was rated highly in Your Horse Magazine readers reviews and that made me decide to try it. The readers were right and I have been using it since!
Bought this as flies are attacking underneath my horses tummy and it's got some small scabs. This product smells strongly of a non chemical smell and I used gloves to apply. It's great for places like underbelly , face etc where a spray is harder to apply.It could be a little thicker as have lost a few splats on the floor but overall I'm very happy . It goes a long way and the scabs and area affected it's noticeably less. I will definately repurchase
