I tried washing it to use as aquarium substrate.It turned out to be fine particles suspended in the water column for a while before settling.Characteristic of silt. This is NOT sand.Hope this is a one off defective batch.
They stain your hands. I thought the yellow would be a nice sand to play with, I am aware it says 'brickies'...now i know what it means lol
It's not bricklayers sand , there is no fat (clay) in it, absolutely useless.
why confuse people by calling it bricklaying sand... It sucks water condenses and dries fast like rocket fast, sticky but no plastic, not soft, make the bricklaying work super hard to leveling and minor adjustment. Very very annoying product.
My sand arrived well packed and the delivery was professional. I had initially purchased this sand for a aboveground pool which I then realised was too big for my yard. So here I was with ten bags of lovely presented sand and no where to go. Then the storms came, well I had just had a semi permanent Gazebo erected, the top went a couple of blocks away, but the structure....the brickies sand on the base of the Gazebo at each point worked wonders. There is always a silver lining isn't there!
