Batman: Arkham Origins is the next instalment in the blockbuster Batman: Arkham videogame franchise. Developed by WB Games Montréal, the game features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline set several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, the first two critically acclaimed games of the franchise. Taking place before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous criminals, the game showcases a young and unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight. As the story unfolds, players will meet many important characters for the first time and forge key relationships. Key Features - The Arkham Story Begins: Batman: Arkham Origins features an all-new single-player campaign written by Dooma Wendschuh and Corey May, with Geoff Johns consulting. Players become an early-career Batman as he encounters for the first time many of the super villains that shape his future. - Enhanced Detective Mode: Batman’s detective skills are tested as never before with an all-new Crime Scene system that allows players to scrub through the evidence in order to find key pieces of information. Players use Batman’s cowl and Bat Computer to digitally recreate crime scenes, allowing them track clues that normal eyes would miss. - Gotham City as Never Seen Before: Explore areas of Gotham City before its transformation into Arkham City, and experience all new areas and other iconic locations. The dynamic and rich environments are filled with a variety of enemies, “crimes-in-progress” and other content that will encourage exploration and player engagement. - Most Wanted Side Missions: Hunt down villains who are connected to, but not part of the core story. It’s the player’s choice if and when they want to complete these threads. - New Enemies: Encounter new enemies such as the Armoured Enforcer and Martial Artist who challenge fans to approach FreeFlow Combat in different ways. - New Gadget: Utilise an arsenal of familiar gadgets from previous Batman: Arkham games, as well as new items such as the Remote Claw. Batman can take down enemies by using the Remote Claw to attach enemies to one another or to objects within the environment for quick takedowns. - New and Familiar Characters: Encounter a full cast of iconic DC Comics characters including Black Mask, Penguin, Deathstroke, Bane, Anarky, Captain Gordon, The Joker and others.

Batman Arkham Origins is a fun game and an interesting one. I had tested the difficulty of it, and its harder than the other Arkham games. It is a prequel to the first 2 Main Arkham Games (Asylum and City, and City: Lockdown), and the Original Animated Film "Batman: Assault on Arkham". It is considered the Year two of Batman. The Sequel of the Game is Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate for PS Vita and 3ds, and its Deluxe Edition for PS Network (PS3), Xbox Live (X360), Microsoft Windows (PC), and Nintendo eShop (Wii U). Overall, this is a very good game in fact you have probably already knew that if you play Arkham City. Batman Arkham Origins is very similar is many different ways to Arkham City. Despite a few differences, at a glance you would swear it was the same game. KInda like how New Super Mario Bros Wii and Wii U versions have striking similarities. Not that it's truly a bad thing, it just the familiarity can wear on you at time and take some of the fun out of it.Some of the improvements that add to the game is the ability to use the pro controller with the game, which I think is essential. Many of the gamepad functions that were in Arkham City have been changed in Arkham Origins. Combat has been changed so you feel more in control and less chaotic. Dialogue is spot on with ... Also some old same old collectables forces me to dig deep yet again to collect them all. I recommend at least renting this game because I will provide some fun for a short period of time for almost all gamers and for fans of the series it will certainly do you justice as well.

This came in the mail just yesterday and I played it as soon as i got home! Great game, If you played the previous two then you'll love this one.It had a few glitches.. but nothing serious. One of them I had to restart from my last checkpoint cause it glitched so bad, but It fixed itself. There was another glitch where batman kept saying the same line over and over again about "finding a code to a locked door".. but that was fixed when i got to my next checkpoint. So nothing big..The game could have used another month or two of polishing and brushing up as there are some parts that are rough around the edges, but nevertheless, it is a fantastic game. it has a lot more of a christopher nolan feel to it. batman himself looks a lot like the batman from the recent ... (batman can realistically turn his head! woo!)Back to the game though, I played it for 8 hours straight (I know, I have no life haha) and I'm still completely invested in it. The only reason i stopped playing was because I had to sleep. I didn't want to spoil the gameplay with my drowsiness. Its an amazing game though, I give it a solid 9/10. Even though the original voice actors did not return for this one, i was okay with it. I think everyone sounds great. The boss battles have been pretty easy. death stroke ga.

I bought this game after it had dropped to $30 on Wii U, which in my opinion is a huge bargain. It took quite a few hours just to get through the main story, and even after that there were tons of extras whenever I wanted a little break from the narrative. I thought this game was actually better than Batman: Arkham City, which is saying something. The combat is awesome, the upgrade system is well thought out, and the characters and their interactions are compelling from beginning to end. I actually felt a little bit sad when I finished the game because the story was so good. It leaves you wanting more, which is how any great game, movie or book should be. Again, as I said in the title of my review, I like this game more than any other Wii U game I've played, except ... I really love the Arkham games, and I WISH WB weren't such anti-Nintendo party and would have added Arkham Asylum to the lest for Wii U. Sadly, they claim sales were low for this and Arkham City. This game is fantastic, and the graphics are actually improved from the PS3 version a great deal. To me, it was eye candy. The drawback here is the fact that many online features found on the Sony and Xbox versions weren't present for Wii U, thus limiting the amount of content available. To me, I see it as WB's way to make sure the game didn't appeal as much. True, I sound like a Nintendo fanboy, but after dealing with their customer service, I am more inclined to believe they did all that on purpose. All that aside, this game is a MUST-HAVE for your Wii U library of games. ... Well I haven't beaten the game yet. I am only about 5 hours in, but I have seen so many mixed reviews on the big name review sites I just wanted to let people who enjoyed the first two Arkhams know that this one is just as great in my opinion. Not better, but just as great. First of all this is the Wii U version obviously and everyone was throwing it under the bus because of no multiplayer. I play Arkham games for the single player experience so I don't care that it is missing, but it is something to consider for those of you that do. I got it for ten bucks cheaper though so there's that. Now the PC version is also ten bucks cheaper and as far as I know includes multiplayer. It has a solid frame rate with the very occasional one second slow down. It looks incredibly crisp on my TV and has excellent textures. The only improvements PC has over it that I have seen from videos are the Physx and Tesselation effects. I have only encountered one minor bug which was a baddie after kicking his butt, he fell through the floor and only his head appeared.*Gamepad.I guess my only complaint so far is hacking is not as fun as it was in Armored Edition(not a big deal though) and it doesn't have all the same gamepad features, but it still has.
Batman: Arkham Origins on Xbox 360 delivers a compelling prequel to the acclaimed Arkham series, offering an engaging narrative that explores the Dark Knight's early days. The game features a richly detailed Gotham City, enhanced by atmospheric graphics and a gripping storyline that introduces new characters and challenges. The combat system retains the series' signature fluidity, with refined mechanics and a variety of gadgets that enhance the gameplay. The detective mode adds depth to the investigative aspects, and the side missions provide additional layers of content. Despite being a prequel, Arkham Origins maintains the high standards of the series with its engaging combat, intriguing plot, and immersive world, making it a worthy addition to the Batman saga.
Batman Arkham Origins is probably one of the best Batman games I've ever played. The great fighting quality, all the gadgets, and the storyline are really helpful. Completing really tough challenges, with head on, hand-to-hand combat techniques allow you to get all kinds of upgrades and access to Batman's gadgets. No, I never got to the fight the last two assassins, Deadshot and Shiva. I will get to on the trail. Fighting quality is great, especially when you get to the bosses and have to go through tough puzzling challenges. If you want to play Batman Arkham Origins, give it a shot it's actually one of the best games in the Batman.
