When I ordered this game I assumed it would be the game of hunting missing ships that most of us played in our younger years. The scenario has completely changed. Aliens from out erspace have landed and the military is trying to locate them. The play is more complex and other than the word "attack!" the two games have few similarities. However, this game has the potential to be exiting and challenging.

This was such an action packed game! If you have not seen anything about this movie yet you may not appreciate all of the nuances of the game and how well it connects back to the movie, but even if you have not seen the movie yet (though you should), I know that I am looking forward to seeing it very soon in it's entirety (as I have only seen some snippets thus far) you are brought into a great game full of high paced action, amazing graphics and fun interactive game play. So far in playing this my favorite part is playing in Duel mode. I have not explored all aspects of the game yet, but I love what I have found thus far. I know that in growing up I loved playing the game battleship, and this game takes the old board game to a level that I would have never even ... MoreThis was such an action packed game! I highly encourage all to go out and try this game for yourselves, as you will not be disappointed!

My teen loves this game, as do I. The 1st few levels walk you how to play. The levels get harder as you go. Takes some strategy to figure out the best approach to beat some levels. You can replay levels to get a better score & also to try to get medals. My son has been playing this game exclusively for several weeks.

One thing I learned as a kid was to never watch movies based off video games, and never play games based on movies. Unfortunantly, my younger self was not taken into consideration the possibility of one of these games actually being good. Oh the horror. This is an example of one such game. Its not as good as the games it tries to emulate (mainly Fire Emblem and Advance Wars) but it definitely does a good job at it. Worth the price you can pick it up for on retrolio to tide you over until the next Advance Wars or Fire Emblem title.
Battleship the game is no bad it makes the movie its based look the original Star Wars. Now people may like this game but this my opinion only but I did not enjoy this game at all. The game came out in 2012 but looks like it came out in 2002. The graphics are horrible and the missions are beyond tedious. For the $20 dollars they are asking for I could recommend a ton of other games that you should buy. So if you want to play a good Xbox title play Red Dead Redemption or Mass Effect 2.I am sorry for the negativity I just wanted to honest about how I felt about this game.Thank you for reading my review.
