Boots are as expected for the price range, the laces....I've never had a pair like this in any skates I've had. More like trainer laces than hockey skate laces. I'm not a fan but others may like them. Going to change them for waxed laces for better hold. Was disappointed that I can't rocker them without changing the wheels but maybe should have paid more attention to that before buying them. They roll very well and are fast too. Hi-lo chassis is good and sturdy and the wheels are also very good so far, grippy but fast.

Do NOT Buy this Chinese Garbage. You were warned.

Do not buy these skates. They are made in China, the boot is cheap and chassis is made out of who knows what kind of garbage metal. The chassis thickness is about that of a dime. The rivets holding it to the boot are tiny. I’d estimate the cost to make this is less than $5. These skates are clearly not made for playing hockey, it’s concerting that Bauer would even make these and that not only does Pure Hockey sell them, but the only ones available in store at my location (other than the other $150 red pair which is the same). After four hours they were unplayable as they were so bent and warped. I swapped them out with the red pair after that, I used those for about 90 minutes and they were doing the same thing so I returned them immediately.Fortunately the ... MoreDo not buy these skates. This will be the last pair of Bauer’s that I ever buy.

I skate every day on tarmac. The skates are comfortable with good support. Buying them, I knew that I am getting soft wheels for a court use and not streets. However, if you are planning on skating a lot on streets, be prepared to go through those wheels in 2-3 months. Another alternative is to go with the lower (yellow) model that has harder wheels and is a bit cheaper. I am happy with the purchase considering the quality and price

Great Value
23 May 2022

Not only do these look great, they feel great. I’ve already gotten plenty of use out of them while walking my dogs. Since purchasing, I’ve been using them daily anytime the weather allows for it. As a life long hockey player, there’s no better blades out there as the improvements to the much more expensive models is incremental at best. Go with this pair and you won’t be disappointed!

Great value for growing players.
19 September 2022

Good skate for growing kids. Wheels and bearings are junk. My son plays in-line hockey. For the money you can pick these up. Some Swiss bearings and awesome wheels. Build a superior skate to the expensive ones minus a little padding. When he outgrows the boot his bearings and wheels will fit on the next size. Bearings are the same throughout all ages. Wheels change from youth/junior/senior. Until he stops growing we love these with improved bearings and wheels. If you or your child is full grown I’d spend a little more for a better padded boot.

No brainer for the price

The colors are Supreme but the fit is a little closer to Vapor. Vapors are too narrow for me, it feels like there’s a golf ball pushing against the inside of my foot. These had that feeling out of the box, but it baked out completely, where it doesn’t with Vapors. So I’d say it’s somewhere between the two. I don’t know if I needed to remove the wheels to bake, but I did anyway since it was so easy.I don’t know if this review is tied to the senior or junior skate, since we got both, but either way both have been great. My 8yo can keep up with adults on bicycles, so they’re certainly a huge step up from the adjustable Target ones. I honestly don’t know the high level skates to give a comparison there. Unless one of those just fit your foot better, I don’t see what ... MoreThe colors are Supreme but the fit is a little closer to Vapor. Unless one of those just fit your foot better, I don’t see what you’re missing with these.I don’t think I weigh enough for the structural stability of the frame to be an issue, but I’ve had no problems after skating pretty hard on them for 10 hours or so. I’ve done some fairly high speed hockey stops (bad idea) out of habit and nothing has bent at all.

Not suitable for me but fine for my son
15 July 2021

Quality of the skates look good and they feel light (a good thing for me). However, I got blisters on both side of my legs from the skates. Apparently, the opening of the skates, the back part is much narrower than other skates I have. It's more of a V-shape than a U-shape, and I believe it's why I had issue with it.I was unable to use the skates as after the 2nd game, my blisters got really bad. However, my son tried the skates on and likes it. He is fine with the skates and keeping it (he has used them a couple of games). Probably it's the way I skate causing the blisters. Glad my son likes it and can use it.

Smooth/comfortable ride, great protection
12 April 2021

These skates provide a very smooth ride. The bearings aren't the fastest, but do well to balance speed and control with the more aggressive stance the 80/76 wheel diameter split provides. And the hard casing adds protection right where you need it. I had heard some grumblings about ankle pain from other owners, which I had initially as well, but once they break in that completely went away. Took me about a week of regular use (~30-60min a day) to break them in naturally (no bake). I had a little trouble with a couple of my bearings loosening early on. But that was an easy fix with the skate key provided. And honestly, it's such a smooth ride, that it was easy to hear/feel the chatter from a loose wheel and fix it quickly before it could become a problem. All in all, these are great skates that really help fill the gap for skating and hockey in the warmer months. I'd highly recommend them for skaters of all levels.

Waste of time and fuel
18 November 2021

My whole experience of purchasing these roller blades from Pro Hockey Life was a waste of time and fuel.Originally I went in person to the store because I wasn't sure my size and wanted some advice. The sales person could not help me and suggested I order online. He instructed that only if my online order doesn't fit to come to the store to return it. I followed his advice and figured since I wear a size 8.5 ice skate I could try a size 9 roller blade (size 8 was out of stock online). I ordered the RS model size 9. When my online order came the size was too big. This time when I visited the store The Pro Hockey Life staff were very helpful in returning the product. However I had made two trips to the store and ended up with zero roller blades. Based on my experience at Pro Hockey Life I purchased a size 8 of the Bauer Dart model. The size 8 Dart ended up being bigger than the size 9 RS model (see photo)!I can't comment on the quality of either skate because after all these trips to different stores I still have no roller blades. Its winter now. Oh well, maybe next summer.

You get what you pay for.
6 March 2023

Good bang for the buck. I had gotten out of the sport for a while but always loved skating on the off season. I picked these up because I wanted a cheap hockey skate to get back to playing. Outside rinks are cheaper than hitting the ice. These skates are fantastic for the price but you get what you pay for. After a few skates I outgrew these skates quickly. The boot just doesn’t have the connection and confidence that I’m used to with a premium skate. There is plenty of flex though so i can really get into my skating but I definitely wish i would have upgraded to the next level up.
