My el-cheapo 40V mower from Edissons threw the towel in after 10 years. I tossed a coin whether to get the 500 or the 450. I ordered the 500 on Thursday and I just finished mowing Monday morning. Besides quick delivery the 500 was easy to assemble and it performed well. I am sure the smaller 450 would have sufficed my little lawn but the 500 powered over it. I use to carry my smaller electric under my arm, this model is much bigger and much more powerful. The catcher is designed to collect the most mulch as possible. It does pack in very well. My neighbours have Ryobi electric mowers that are more expensive with tiny 18v batteries, I have used them and stand by the Baumr 500 against them. Delivery was great within 3 days in Sydney for both machine and extra batteries l ordered, No paper catalogue with the machine, the online manual is very poor (not clear) in explaining parts and assembly and nothing to explain about the battery charging and lights indicators meaning, you have to figure it out, however l did it,Running the machine instruction were easy, l haven't cut the lawn yet ,, because l did it 2 days before receiving the new machine,, but run it over the lawn for 5 minutes testing and it is very light and easy, can not say if it is efficient or not,, or how long batteries will last, l bought 2 extra batteries upfront to be sure that l do the lawn cutting in ONE go. Looks OK. Price is reasonable (good)
