Put together and it started easily, but was locked on high revs. Had to pull side off to adjust cable to eventually get it to idle. Poorly set up from factory.

The hot exhaust faces the handle, not a very good design, a simply angled exhaust pipe would be better. It does not really have enough power, struggles to get 500mm, no way it would dig 1.5m. Already leaking oil from the gear box after only x6 - 500mm holes. Cheap Chinese rubbish.

Excellent quality. Great little digger

Delivery was very quick, arriving two days after it was ordered. The machine came partly assembled, but can be put together fairly easy. The assembly instructions are a bit light on and you need to make sure the exhaust is pointing away from you or the handles. It was easy to start and comes with a nifty little two stroke mixing container that makes fuel mixture easy peasy. It has a straight through gear box as opposed to some of the cheap ones that have the engine at 90 deg to the shaft. (This makes the drill unbalanced and the 90 deg gear box's are usually poor quality) It also has a centrifugal clutch which means the blade doesn't spin when idling. (Great for safety) It came with a 200mm bit which made light work of the clay soil. The drill bit has a bladed edge ... MoreDelivery was very quick, arriving two days after it was ordered. (Note: If you order more drills, make sure they have a tool blade edge) Overall it was a very good purchase and I'd be very happy to recommend it to anyone sick of digging post holes.

Inexpensive, well made and compatible with name-brand equipment
30 May 2016

The unit is to a great extent parts compatible with name-brand equipment, but is a fraction of the price. It is robust and works well. This particular unit has a larger motor than the (more expensive) damaged unit it replaced, and the extra torque was conspicuous. The augur bits were adequate but of light construction, however parts compatibility meant that the more heavily made bits from the old unit could be used. Unfortunately there is no fuel tap. Two stroke equipment starts easily when new but the carburetor will gum up in long term storage. To mothball it properly you must empty the carburetor and fuel lines. To do this in the absence of a fuel tap you must first drain the fuel tank. This criticism applies to name-brand units also and is not a shortcoming ... MoreThe unit is to a great extent parts compatible with name-brand equipment, but is a fraction of the price. Life saver

1. This item turned up in three days, not the 3 weeks as roughly indicated which kicked off a good start. 2. I'm not mechanically minded at all and the online instructions were easy to follow and save paper. The hole digger was put together in five minutes with only the provided tools required. 3. Pressed the primer bulb three times and started first pull and idle is spot on. 4. Super easy operation, i used it for post holes on my acreage and i was digging a hole a minute. Time will tell when it comes to durability and i am yet to hit rock or tree roots. I think that the throttle lever maybe temperamental but I'll cross that bridge if i cross it. Overall, so far i will replace the photos on my wall from my child to my hole digger, winner so far and saved me hours ... More1. If you're on a budget, it is right up your alley and does not sacrifice performance for the price. Replacement bit's are a breeze to get at low cost should you choose an alternate size. Very durable piece of machinery that seems to go on an on

Powerful
28 September 2017

I've never used an auger to dig holes before, but wish I had now. This thing makes it a breeze. It's so powerful that it almost spun me around when I hit rock and tree roots. It uses 25:1 fuel mixture which is the same as my lawn mower, so that's a bonus. It's also a lot easier to start than my lawn mower. Very easy assembly and it was shipped to me very quickly. All up, it was a bargain & I highly recommend getting one if you are going to be digging a few holes.
