Simply needed a new probe to round out my avy./backcountry kit. Good product, good price, good buying process. There were good options to choose from, but I settled on something that would work with typical snowpack by me (PNW), and came from a known/trusted brand.
Lightweight and good built quality...Bought this since it was recommended a probe of at least 300 cm for the Canadian Rockies. There are two sets of numbers on this BCA probe and the numbers are very large.

This is a great probe and an industry standard for a reason. I'm a pro ski patroller and we're all issued BCA stealth 300 probes for work. I'd been looking to replace my old probe anyways, so choosing this as my personal probe was a no-brainer. It's sturdy, easy to deploy, and reasonably-priced.My one complaint is that Evo's picture makes it look like the probe is red. It's actually orange and grey. Not that color is going to make a difference when you're trying to dig your friend out of an avalanche....
Nice probe, but the whole batch appears to be mis-marked and mis-labeled. I want a 300cm probe. I ordered a Stealth 300, and the sheath and label on the probe I recieved did indeed say "300", but the length was only 270cm. The same appears to be true for the 240, 270 and 330. Each probe appears to be marked as one length longer than it really is. If you want a 300cm probe, it looks like you need to order a 330cm probe. This is confirmed in photos on this site, and is also true in my local mountain shop and even shown in the photos on BCA website. The photo shows a screen shot from the BCA website with a probe marked and sold as a stealth 300, but only 270cm long.
Easy to assemble and light weight. A smidge long for my pack, but does fit the Black Diamond Jet Force Saga 40
