Best Headphones I've ever owned

I've seen other negative reviews about these headphones but my experience with these were amazing !So I got my pair late 2017 - Bought it brand new from my local BB and it's been through the washer, dryer, hell and back. I'm an athlete and do a lot of high intensity workouts throughout the week as well so it's drenched in sweat for a majority of it's tenure with me.PROS: Decent sound ( nothing to write home about ). Never worked

Item did not power on out of the box. This seemed okay, but after charging for over 2 hours the product would still not power on. I tried using a different power charger, and charged for 4 hours, but got the same results. Using the cable provided with the device the ear buds indicate that they are charging properly...red led and then white led, but always failed to turn on. As a last resort, I used my fast-charge, power block and left the unit connected for 6 hours. The results were the same...no power. Product is being returned for refund.This is second item in this order. The other came in a box so badly damaged that i opened a claim with UPS to have any damage to the rowing machine itself checked.

For example, sometime when I put them on, one of the sides will want to bend into my cheek, while the other side bends away from my face. It just feels awkward. So I find myself often hanging them on something when not in use to try to avoid this problem, and keep the kinks out of the cable.Second, the neoprene case for storing the earphones is too small, making it difficult to get the earphones completely inside the case unless you wrap them JUST SO. This leads, as I mentioned before, to problems with the cables bending in ways you don't want it to bend. Additionally, the case doesn't completely close--there's no zipper or drawstring or anything. Just an open gap at the top. Not terribly secure.Still, I can live with these flaws, as they're otherwise pretty nice headphones. And based on reviews I've read of equivalent products from competitors, it sounds like none of them are going to be perfect.

Honestly, great, I was pretty impressed, I always compare to my first decent earphones the Klipsch Image S4 which had a pretty good sound signature, if not a bit bass heavy. These remind me of that, but with better bass, highs aren't exaggerated which is great because you don't get ear fatigue or pain from sibilance that I sometimes get with my Klipsch X7i's. They seem to handle a wide variety of music well, I like hard rock, classic rock, and the latest EDM, pop, hip-hop. I haven't tried anything like classical, but I imagine it wouldn't be a bad experience here!Noise isolation is another big point, these might not be great for cycling or jogging due to their ability to buffer outside sounds, I can't hear someone talking to me from 4ft away if my music is at about half volume. There is a bit of microphonics in these earphones I think due to the weight of the battery assembly hanging around the back of your neck. With music on the microphonics are minimal and don't bother me, your mileage may vary.Fit is great with a variety of provided earbuds, including some wings to help hook into your ears, the default buds installed in the box seem to be the best fit for me so far.I really enjoy these, a lot more than I expected, I bought them thinking, well if I don't like them I'll simply return and wait for the AirPods to become more widely available. Well I can't say I will be doing that at all, I really like them, a lot!Also it comes with 29.97 USD in credit to use on iTunes, or for 3 months of Apple Music, as someone heavily invested in the ecosystem and an existing subscriber this was like a 30 dollar discount right out of the box!

Recently one side stopped working, which was a huge bummer given that they were less than 2 years old, but I had enjoyed them and gotten used to the functionality, so I decided to just purchase a new pair of what I thought would be the same earphones.While these appear to be the same as the 2018 ones, they are actually an awful imposter. The materials are clearly cheaper, they don't come with wingtips--which are the only things that kept them securely in my ears--anymore, and worst of all, the battery makes them basically useless. In August the headphones began to present a static/distortion noise intermittently. I find this odd that after less than five months of use the headphones would begin to malfunction at all. I didn't panic since the headphones come with a manufacturer’s twelve month warranty. However, I should have been suspicious when I purchased the headphones because Best Buy doesn't offer the option of purchasing a Best Buy warranty for this product. Repair options are as follows: Option 1: Pay $166.61 to have Apple repair the headphones, Option 2: Have Apple Return headphones unrepaired. Why would I pay more for the repair than the headphones are worth? The technician provided a picture of the damage it appeared from the image the left side was clouted with something. Once the headphones were returned I reviewed the issue and it appeared to be the glue used to hold in the screen had clouted the passage way along with ear wax. Apple should have fixed this under warranty. The glue holding the screen should have been able to withstand a little wax. I won’t be purchasing any more Beats headphones. I am really disappointed because I like the design and performance of these headphones. I expected more from Apple and I’m extremely disappointed that Apple choose not to honor the warranty and blame the user for the inferior performance of the product. I’m sticking with Bose from now they stand behind their headphone products. This short sighted business model will eventually catch up to Beats product line.
