I purchased these Beats EP wired headphones almost over a year ago. At the time, these were one of the cheaper models you could buy. I unfortunately did not do any research or look up reviews before purchasing them. I wish I had. It states on the package that they are lightweight, comfortable, comes with a carrying case, adjustable earcups, control music with remote touch and you can manage calls with remote touch technology. Unfortunately I don't own the right kind of phone for the remote touch to work properly. I have an android S9. This is compatible with iPhones. I still can hook it up to my phone and listen to music, I just can't control it with the remote or the phone call option. Yes you can adjust the strap, but it does not fit as tight as I would of expected it to fit on me. I personally do not think these headphones are comfortable. Definitely not noise canceling either. The main issue I have with these Beats EP is the cord. It is not wireless, and there is no easy way to store them without the chance of damaging the cord. When I looked up reviews, one of the biggest downfall was how the cord would break off. Yes it comes with its own carrying case, but if I were to bring these to work, I wouldn't be able to store them in my backpack, purse or bag without worrying that I might break it. The sound overall is the best feature on these headphones. The quality of the sound is very powerful and loud. You really hear every beat and all the bass. I love that about these Beats EP headphones. If I were to purchase Beats again, I would definitely spend a little more money and upgrade to the wireless options. When I purchased these in the store, I was disappointed with the color options available. I had white or black to choose from. I picked black because it shows less dirt and scuff marks.

I was much younger when I bought my first Beats headphones, not sure this is even the right version of what I bought. But like a true youngster I bought it for looks. Beats always had that cool appeal. But overall wasn’t that sold on my Beats. The cord started to disintegrate within the first year especially at the end hubs. Not like I didn’t take care of it either. I always made sure to store it in the little storage bag it came with after use. And the sound wasn’t as good as I had expected, I remember when I compared to my brother’s Bose headphones at that time I felt disappointed. His headphones had better sound quality for sure. Though keep in mind this was back in 2009. I haven’t bought Beats since then actually because I was disappointed. I’m curious to know ... MoreI was much younger when I bought my first Beats headphones, not sure this is even the right version of what I bought. But like a true youngster I bought it for looks. This review is for the Beats Solo Wired On-Ear Headphones, I don’t think this is the exact one I selected but it’s the closest in description as the other Beats Solos are the version 2 and 3 wireless ones. (Mine is wired.) I bought the black and red (standard) one at the time. Honestly the most lovely looking headphones I owned but for some reason didn’t last? One side glitches in hearing, the rubber pad underneath the headband peels off and so does the earmuff???? (This is after 1.5 years of using it.) The wire only lasts for 6 months before I had to find a replacement but I substituted with tape to keep it from breaking? I like to believe I take good care of it as I do have a larger case to place my headphones and earphones in their own compartment after using it ... MoreThis review is for the Beats Solo Wired On-Ear Headphones, I don’t think this is the exact one I selected but it’s the closest in description as the other Beats Solos are the version 2 and 3 wireless ones. My friends own the gold Beats Solo 3 wireless one, and they’ve had it for about 2 years now and it looks fine. They seem happy with it but perhaps the company learned what went wrong with the first version I bought and made sure Beats Solo 3 wouldn’t be such a disaster.
I've purchased at least 6 of the Beats by Dr. Dre - Beats EP Headphones. My grandchildren have a propensity of damaging them (sometimes thru no fault of their own) and I end up buying another pair for them or myself. The sound quality is fairly good but not outstanding. The main issue is that the wire running from the headphones to the audio jack are too thin and normal wear and tear appear to break the cable. I've purchased several pair for my grand kids because of that issue. The Beats EP Headphones are comfortable and feel pretty good on my ears and I can wear them for a prolonged period of time with no discomfort. Would I buy another pair? I just did a few days ago!
I should have known better when I received a box with sticky residue and someone else's body hair attached before cleaning it off and giving it as a gift, but I thought 'hey, maybe someone bought them but then realized they needed the money for bills' or decided they'd rather have wireless. I should have also known better when there was no seal to cut in order to open them. The ear coverings were stained and the headphone jack was broken. Around the break also looked fried, so I'm glad my daughter said something as soon as she opened it so it didn't start a fire.
Been using earbuds for so many years I finally opted to make the transition to an over-ear headphone and these are surprisingly wonderful. The ear cushion is incredibly comfortable and no it does not make you hot and sweaty as I've heard some massive ear-cups have a tendency to do. The pad that sits on top of your head could do with being a bit thicker but its very light weight, comfortable to wear and I can't believe I've been using earbuds for so long, and the sound experience is fantastic across the spectrum - very well balanced. These are great. I just wanted to add: they are built to listen to music on a stereo or a TV (teenagers may not remember what a "stereo" is.. think of it as a large and very expensive piece of precision electronics from 10+ years ago ... MoreBeen using earbuds for so many years I finally opted to make the transition to an over-ear headphone and these are surprisingly wonderful. These were NOT as another reviewer pointed out, designed, manufactured, tested, marketed or sold primarily to plug into a game console and use as one plays a shoot-em-up video game. Stop comparing them to an Xbox or PS gaming system. These are for music lovers, not for gaming addicts. LOVE these things!
I'd heard a lot of opinions about Beats headphones. Some good, some bad, some mentioning how overpriced they usually are, so when I saw these at the price they are I did a little digging to see what the general consensus was.Pretty much everywhere was saying they're decent, good for the price, a few even saying that these are better than their more expensive counterparts. I needed a new set of headphones, so thought I'd take the plunge. It was certainly worth it, they do outperform many headphones in the price range, they outperform some more expensive models. They have great bass reproduction, a nice amount of high end, and the midranges are much betterthan my old AKGs which were superb.I use them for djing and for general use while out and about, as they're ... MoreI'd heard a lot of opinions about Beats headphones. Take a real close look at the image, unlike me before buying, and realize this is a tiny ear cup. They rest against your ears like 1990's Walkman headphones. I got these with the plan to listen to music from my computer. The computer tower is right next to my feet, but the cable to these headphones is too short to even reach it. It isn't even 6 feet long. A good length for plugging into a antiquated portable audio device, or into a handheld controller of a game console, but that's about it. I was nearly convinced I was going to send these back until I finally found something I could plug these into and check out the sound. They honestly sound fantastic for not covering the whole ear. They are comfortable too. Good clean sounds and bass. The quality is great enough ... MoreTake a real close look at the image, unlike me before buying, and realize this is a tiny ear cup. I had thought that it being a 3.5mm cable is why the price was so low on these, but the overall small size of these headphones (or lack there of) is probably more of a reason they are in this price range. Mini Beats might be a better description of the size of these headphones.
The Beats EP Headphones are some of the best for those looking for quality headphones on a budget. I have owned my beats for well over a month now and the comfort and sound quality are incredible. The Positives1. The comfort. I can wear these headphones for hours upon hours and not feel the need to take them off. The plush cushions do wonders for my ears, and the headband doesn't hurt the top of my head—even after extensive use.2. The sound. The noise cancelling on these headphones work well, and muffle out all sounds; even when there's nothing playing. When you are listening to music you're in for a treat! The only issue is that it can get in the way, and potentially be a hassle for someone who has a lot of wires for their setup. I for one, use multiple wires on the daily, so it can be mildly annoying when things get crossed up. But as I said, it's a minor nitpick and nothing to really worry about. Conclusion!I really adore these headphones and would recommend them to anyone looking for good headphones with limited funds. The wire can get in the way, but overall, the headphones are well worth the purchase!
