I’m not sure if this is an Apple problem or just because I purchased them through AT&T but either way it is a major disappointment and a complete failure to provide us consumers with a quality product we spent so much money on. Do not purchase these unless you only need them for 1 year because that is about all they will last.

They are usually a reputable company, but I am extremely disappointed in them not honouring their warranty when the item is clearly not fit for purpose, despite it falsely being advertised as so. Clearly these headphones are not designed for their purpose and therefore I urge JL to discontinue this product to avoid disappointing further customers!

The sound quality is OK (initially extremely disappointed but allowed a longer break in period and sound improved to satisfactory). Interestingly pale in comparison to the really cheap $40 generic brand set my wife purchased from Amazon-only issue with those is going in ear and I need over the ear for my workouts. Sound quality is adequate but I expected better. BT pairing issues a pain. Conclusion: they are OK, good investment if they prove durable. Not worth retail price. Thankfully I paid 10% less but that’s still over priced. If you have the opportunity to try other brands my guess is you’ll find you get as good of experience for less money. After about 8 or 9 months sometimes the right hand ear piece would fail to charge. This progressed from an intermittent problem to a permanent problem so I took them back to JL where they recorded the handover condition as 'Good' and sent them off to be looked at. A week later I received an e-mail saying 'Our engineers have found evidence of liquid/ accidental damage to your Powerbeats Headphones. I am surprised by the poor case quality - with respect to charge durability and physical build. A sweat-resistant headphone should not show signs of wear/plastic chipping (without physical damage) after exposure to sweat / disinfectant wipes. Despite never dropping the case, the interior plastic portion lifted off and appears rusted, on top of the fact that the charge is unreliable. I purchased this pair about a year ago, and am unfortunately passed warranty - although I find the condition of my headphones unacceptable given the price and reputation of the company!
These earbuds were purchased because of brand recognition and the earloop feature. I have the Solo, Solo HD, Studio 2, and Studio 3. On top of personal experience with the brand and the fact that it had received 4.5 stars out of 5, I figured I couldn't go wrong. However, I was wrong and still in disbelief. Sound is everything especially when you fork over close to $200. Either I had a bad pair or my taste isn't as good as those who boasted 4.5+ rating. Sound is lacking in superiority you would expect from the brand and price point. I have a pair of $40 no-namers that produced better sound than these. Not enough bass, if at all, it's pretty lame! I have a Samsung S22 Ultra and the sound settings to enhance the performance only helped just a pinch. Whereas they did appear to perform well against sweat buildup and from falling off my ear at the gym, it was pretty annoying to have to increase volume on the earbuds (which was just rattle noise and annoying) to offset gym music, which wasn't even blasting, but the volume level was just standard noise if that makes sense. All in all, it's a disappointment.
