So many people are saying that these have no volume on them. You have to go into the app on an Android device or in the settings on an iPhone and set up the volume control to where you push the buttons on either bud for volume up or down. When I turned them up they were plenty loud enough. The sound quality is great. I think they sound better than my wife’s AirPods Gen 2 easily. There is plenty of bass and treble. There is no EQ in the settings or on the app they have been pre set to sound the way they do. But in all honesty I can’t say that this is a bad thing. The 18 hour of battery life is at a volume of around 50%. I’m one that likes volume at 100%. I listened to my Beats at full volume for 5 hours and still had 64% battery so that’s still pretty good. I ... MoreSo many people are saying that these have no volume on them. I listened to my Beats at full volume for 5 hours and still had 64% battery so that’s still pretty good. I would’ve easily gotten 12 hours out of them at full volume. So the case doesn’t have a battery in it. That’s fine getting that many hours of listening time. Plus if you have an iPhone 15 or soon to be higher you can charge them straight from your phone. I know it stinks to have to carry a cable around but in all honesty not too many people are gonna be listening to earbuds for more than 12-18 hours a day. Besides they charge in an about hour anyway. There is no noise cancelation on these buds. They do fit tightly in the ear without any discomfort and do a pretty good job of isolating the sound. I have a window AC unit on my living room that rattles and I couldn’t hear it over my music at all. I’ve also worn them outside around a roadway and heard no traffic. So they do a decent job of noise isolation.I have a pair of Beats Flex that I gave $50 for at Walmart a few years ago and they are still going strong. They sound great still after all these years of abuse. I wear them doing yard work. The Beats Solo Buds sound better than the flex and if they are built as good then they should last a long time. I am not regretting my purchase and would recommend these Beats to anyone who wants a decent pair of earbuds for less than $100.

Absolutely not. Please don’t waste your time and money buying these. They are sound ao horrible, just like the bad reviews say. Idk how people can lie and give these 5 stars because THEY ARE NOT GOOD AT ALL. There is zero bass, not loud, has static when you put the song louder, the louder the more static, doesn’t sound clear. I can’t believe “beats” would even go this low and sell such a poor quality product. I would be embarassed to have such a bad product out in the market SPECIALLY FOR $80. It’s a literal scam. There is wayyyy better earbuds in the market for $80. If it weren’t for the logo, these would be AT MOST dollar tree quality. I wouldn’t use these even if they were free. That’s how terrible they sound.

The headphones fit great, choice of four sizes of ear buds is useful. I use XL in one ear and L in the other. They're the most comfortable in ear phones I've used, even when wearing them for extended periods, but I haven't tried them for running or cycling yet.I use them for a mix of podcasts and music, sound quality is good enough for both and not much outside sound leaks in. Battery life is great, can be used all day without problem.Set up is easy, no need for an extra app to get going. Though instructions were online only, so took a little time to find them, then to understand the control features. I struggled a little to use them for making/receiving calls, I probably need to go back to the instructions.Overall, good sound, sturdy and comfortable enough ... MoreThe headphones fit great, choice of four sizes of ear buds is useful. The case is compact and lightweight with magnets making it easy to pop headphones back. Comes with 4 different bud sizes to fit most ears. Very easy to set-up and connect to your phone/device.Battery charge is excellent and lasts ages before needing a recharge. They do take some getting used to. I found them a little bulky at first and spent time fiddling to get them into the ears comfortably. However, after just a few days I could wear them upto 1 hour without a problem. I've used them walking the dog, gardening, exercising and they do stay put.Sound quality is pretty good but if you're after excellent it may be worth investing in a more expensive pair.Overall, I'm pleased with them and would recommend.
The overall package is really neat, the case is small and sturdy, and the magnetic snap to put the earbuds back feels secure. However, I really struggled to get the ear buds out of the case! The raised part is actually quite small and I couldn't get my fingers around them very well. I also found it quite difficult to put them into my ears - unless I was holding both earbuds, I was never sure if I'd lined them up properly. The translucent red case looks great, and I like the bright statement colour of the red earbuds. As for the comfort - you basically forget you've put them in. I also found them far more comfortable than AirPods Pro which have more of an oval shape than the Beats' round tip. As for the comfort - you basically forget you've put them in. I also found them far more comfortable than AirPods Pro which have more of an oval shape than the Beats' round tip. The only downside I have for the comfort is the buttons, I haven't got the hang of hitting the button on the bud, and it feels like I'm just pushing it further into my ear when I try. They sound great, Beats tend to be heavier on the bass than Sennheisser for example - and that's what I like - I listened to a range of music and podcasts and was very happy with the results. I also want to call out sound isolation. I tested them on a busy train, and walking along a busy road, neither caused any issues, they blocked out the exterior sound excellently - if you have any issues with this, try a different tip size. The mic did a pretty good job and in normal conditions and was actually far clearer than comparable headphones I own, but did struggle on busy roads.Setting up the headphones - and switching between Apple devices - was super quick and simple. They reconnect on putting them in your ears and then you're good to go.The headphones appear in the Find My app, and can play a sound if marked as lost, but if I'm honest, the sound was so quiet I don't think it would actually help you to find them. They really are great headphones, so if you're an iOS user who likes headphones with a bit more bass, and doesn't need the higher end audio features, I'd definitely consider them.
Firstly there is very little not to like about these ear buds. The ear buds are comfortable to wear and come with various size tips. Sound wise the quality is pretty good with decent bass and volume and no distortion. The buds are lightweight also and I can barely feel them when in my ears.Battery life seem goods and since getting them and using about 1 hour a day I have not had to charge yet. Info says 18 hour battery life so a good amount on a full charge. I fully charged before fiest use and it charged quite rapidly. The controls of the buds work well with touch buttons, controlling different functions on the phone including volume and answering a call.I would say they have great build quality. They look nice and compact and stylish, however the sound quality is awful. It has no depth or base. They come with 4 different sizes of rubber plugs, however I tried every single size and none have helped apart from the large one simply plugging my ears. For any slightly better sound quality I had to physically push the pods as far inside the ear canal as possible. Of course once I let go, sound would revert to being flat and distant.Immediately I decided to return them, on the very same day that I received them, however currys have protected themselves so tightly that I didn’t even try. I could not return them as I unpacked them to try them. So here I am stuck with a rubbish product. However I have learned not to make purchases from Currys. John Lewis is miles ahead of them with great customer service and 0% interest if you choose to pay monthly.I will never shop at Currys again.
For me, these earbuds had a very, very specific purpose. My purpose was to have music that could fit underneath my full facial motorcycle helmet. For that mission, they are successful. Some earbuds I had from Amazon, had much better fuller sound. By comparison, I think that these beats earbuds sound almost tiny and, lacking sound. I don’t really think anything is overly pronounced, certainly not the bass, the treble is not shrill, but certainly comes out more than anything mid tone and bass. For $80, I expected much fuller sound, especially from a company reputable for making base lovers happy. I do like that it comes with different size your pieces. But the win for me is I have earbuds that fit inside my helmet for motorcycle riding.
Let’s set expectations to realistic. These are clearly entry level earbuds. The price would indicate so. These aren’t meant to stand toe to toe with “premium” tiers. They dont have ANC & Transparency modes. They are wireless earbuds at its core. These remind me of the sony wf-cf500/700 series; case & sound & price point. Complaints on these solo buds seem to stem from these two categories (case build & sound) The case is the smallest of the beats line. The powerbeats pro case is huge in comparison. The case is very light with strong magnets keeping the lid shut. Transparent Red is the clear winner in my opinion. These aren’t the beats of old where bass was the focus; too much drowned out the mids & treble. These sound just fine for what it is. It’s tuned to be as ... MoreLet’s set expectations to realistic. It’s tuned to be as balanced as it can with biased towards treble. Vocals are clear & no distortion once so ever. I’ve heard better on other earbuds i own; by no means a knock on these. These are great earbuds as a daily or backup.
I purchased these headphones on an enployee accommodation. For the price that I paid, these may be the best value for dollar headphones I’ve purchased. $79.99 is honestly more than I’d be confortable paying, but if you can catch them on sale, they well outperform most, if not all, headphones in their price range. In terms of sound quality: volume is an A+. The high volume range more than makes up for the lack of active noise cancellation. The audio quality is very crisp. The bass is slightly disappointing, but no less than I expected for the price. I’m in love with the small case, but I could see why others would be unhappy with it. Overall, really good budget option.
