There is no scent afterwards. This sunscreen does not claim water or sweat resistance, but I have exercised and sweated profusely with this sunscreen on my face, and my skin still did not get sunburned during my usual outdoor routine. I did not have any hyperpigmentation or burning after sun exposure (but I still wear hats when the sun exposure is prolonged or more severe as per my usual routine). I don't know how it performs under foundation because I don't use foundation. I find that I can remove the sunscreen with two cleanses with an oil-free gentle hydrating cleanser, like Aveeno oat cleanser, as opposed to a pore-clogging oil balm. I have been using BoJ sunscreen for almost two years and was worried about skin sensitivity due to all the different ferment and niacinamide ingredients, but I'm glad to find that I have no issues with this sunscreen.
