The Behringer EUROLIVE F1220D Bi-Amped 250-Watt Monitor Speaker System utilizes a 250-Watt Class D amplifier in a true bi-amp configuration to power a single 12" woofer for bass and a high resolution 3" tweeter for highs loaded in a proprietary wide-dispersion horn for live performance and playback applications. The unit includes an adjustable feedback filter as well as an integrated limiter for system control and speaker protection. For inputs, a built-in 2-channel mixer with individual mic/line inputs and volume controls offers a wide range of connectivity and the dedicated 3-band EQ allows for precise shaping of your sound. An additional line output allows for linking of additional speakers into the system. An internal switch-mode power supply provides superior transient response, low power consumption, and low-noise audio. An integrated 35 mm pole socket allows you to mount the unit on a stand, or it can be placed on the ground and used as a floor monitor. At only 23.6 lb (10.7 kg), the speaker is well suited for travel to and from gigs, on the road, on stage, and in the studio.

Great unit at a reasonable price. I only ever use in conjunction with a mixer desk, driving the Line Input, but it does everything I need. Feedback Sweep works fine, if needed. Quick and easy to set-up and use.All up, very happy with my purchase.

I bought a pair of these for a small staging setup. I need a couple more, but they are excellent. Very clear sound, lots of options for connecting to PA or direct to mic/instrument. The built in feedback suppression is so useful. I intend to buy another 2 at least.

So far, I am very pleased with the monitor. I have a Kustom 50w 10" monitor that I was using but the 10" speaker sounded thin at times and without any EQ controls, you just can't do much adjusting. I am disappointed a bit in the power out put. I thought that 125 w per channel would give me much more outut than the 50 w Kustom but it doesn't. However, it has a much fuller, in depth sound and I can adjust the treble, mid and low ranges. Another advantage is that it is very light compared to other 12" monitors.
Picked this up to use as a monitor for practicing acoustic drums with backing tracks. I wanted more volume than the Kustom 50w powered monitor with 10" speaker could deliver. I was excited to have more volume and fuller sound with a larger speaker...plugged her in and connected the cables and quickly discovered this thing for 250 watts does not deliver...at 80 percent volume the clipping light kept coming on and sound cutting in and out. I then A/B tested against my Kustom with 1/5 the power rating...everything else the same and only switching the XLR input, the Kustom killed this amp both in volume and tone. I went back and forth in disbelief 3x and same result each time. It was back in the box and returned immediately...exchanged for the 100W version of my Kustom ... MorePicked this up to use as a monitor for practicing acoustic drums with backing tracks. I think Beringer maybe put an extra 0 and this thing is really 25 watts, not 250 as claimed. Waste of time! Go for a Kustom!
It's junk. It does not have usable power, it distorts trying to crank it to where it can be heard. I can't even comment on the quality of the tone because I can't use it in any functional way. Far less powerful than my Kustom 50 watt 10" powered monitor; seriously, not an exaggeration. While the Kustom lacks any EQ controls, it's still usable where this is not. Even the Behringer B105D (which I also own and like) is much louder than this thing.
Has a lovely angle to play to my ears instead of my ankles and knees. Living in Cornwall, we have compact pubs, small space to play in, so limited floor space to set our old monitor in. I have THE tiniest ear canals so can't use in ears comfortably. Not just because I don't want to get molded in ears, I really don't feel comfortable with things in my ears, hurt.
Have used one of these that I bought used as a main speaker for 1-2 musicians, with a unpowered mixer with 2 vocals and 2 instruments, in small-medium venues (large dining room, small auditorium), and also with an 8-channel powered mixer, as a single monitor outdoors for a 5-piece bluegrass band. Have run a CD player through it, too. Have been impressed with the clarity, range, and volume. I like the versatility, since I can control levels and EQ at the board or the speaker. I liked it so well I got a second one to use as a 2nd main speaker or monitor. I know that I can count on it.
We have an acoustic band and this works great for our female singer. She needs to really be able to hear herself. I use a mic splitter and send one signal to the board and the other signal to this monitor. This monitor has 2 channels (the other ones don't), so I run her mic in one channel and our regular moniter feed in the other. She can raise her mic volume without raising the other volumes. I also put this on an amp stand so it is closer to her.I will be getting another one for me asap.
This unit is a great value for certain uses. This is not effective for amplified live performances. The amplifier's power and headroom is not up to that task. It's great for a small acoustic performance or as a practice monitor in studio, which is what I needed. There's no phono input capability, so you'll need to convert to XLR via DI box. The next model up would be an even better value I believe. Like all Berringer products, they are inexpensive Chinese alternatives that fill a certain, low volume, application.
