Before I purchased the pedal I reviewed YouTube video published by the manufacturer to ascertain what the pedal did, how it operated and how the controls influenced the sound. This was invaluable for someone who knows nothing about effects pedals such as myself. Included in the box were some printed instructions that provided a basic guide to the operation of the pedal. After I received the pedal I was able to plug it in and get started with a minimum of fuss. The controls performed just as described in the YouTube video and I found it easy enough to use. The pedal appears to be quite robust and basically does what the manufacturer says it does. In order to access the 9 volt battery compartment it is first necessary to remove the pedal, which I found to be somewhat inconvenient. I very quickly purchased a 9 volt transformer so I could run it from mains power supply. This was a much better option from my point of view. The pedal seems to be relatively inexpensive and appears to be quite good value for money. At this point I am quite satisfied with the product.

Unfortunately I had the same experience as Dave S. from Texas. After a half or or so of playing the sound deteriorates to something like a blown speaker. I initially returned the first unit and was sad to find the replacement did the same thing so I can only deduce that it's a design flaw. It works great until the distorted sound appears. I have numerous other Behringer pedals and have had no complaints with them. I have a more expensive Ibanez tremolo pedal that I was hoping I could substitute the Behringer for in order to keep it in better condition. A disappointment.

I can't speak yet to how this unit will hold up over time, but I'll mostly be using it in my home studio. After a few minutes of playing with the settings, I honed in on the sound that I was looking for. Unbelievable that I could do that with a unit that was so inexpensive. So, I'm completely satisfied with it. I've had other Behringer products before with the same low cost/big features and I had the same reaction. My only small ding would be the battery replacement design. Would have been perfect with a small rubbery cover to the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit. But that aside, I would buy this unit again, knowing what I now know. Great value!

I have been putting a pedal board together on a budget. Behringer makes a lot of affordable and good sounding pedals. This is one of the reasons i got this pedal. I also like the tremolo effect a lot. This is a lot more adjustable than the classic Fender Tremolo that is built into the amp sometimes better known as vibrato. Those amps are EXPENSIVE if you are on a tight budget so this is your best bet. IF you are looking for that Link Wray Rumble sound. this is your pedal. YES you will have to mess with the settings till you find the sound. You will need to change the speed toward the end of the song, you Link Wray fans already know this bit. Anyhow, those classic 60s sounds where the tremolo is used is available in this pedal. You dont have to beat this pedal up and since it is plastic, don't stomp it like you are trying to kick start a HARLEY. That takes a lot more force. Be GENTILE this is a plastic guitar pedal and a GENTILE tap is all it needs to turn it on and it does have a handy dandy LED to show you it is on. IF you are going to add this to your pedal board like me, get a SNARK power supply and the daisy chain. You can do up to 15 pedals on this set up if you have 3 of the daisy chain hook ups or so. Get a good pedal board and make sure you have your velcro on the bottom of the pedal and some of those short cable from live wire to hook all your pedals up. MF has those too. Those are some tips I offer. Behringer makes some great pedals for those on a tight budget. Get one for your board. Then look up some demo videos on YouTube to get an idea of the sounds of each pedal. Then order yourself some pedals and jam. I have more than one pedal from Behringer and these work great
I was never really a tremolo user in general, and since I was unsure about adding one to my board, I figured at the price this would be low risk experiment, and if I really liked it and found use for it in my music, I could always replace it with a higher quality (higher price) pedal. Well as it turns out; I love tremolo! So after a few months having this on my board, I decided it was time to look for a "real" alternative. Good luck with that! I have only tried a few other tremolo pedals since, and while I have found a few that might sound "better" (Even some other pretty affordable options. Lets be honest; a tremolo is not rocket science) I have yet to find ANY as versatile for anywhere near a reasonable price. For me, the Wave knob is irreplaceable. I have tried a few pedals that will switch between square and saw-tooth or sine wave, but none quite did it for me. So as it turns out, this "let me try it out before I shell out too much $$" pedal has earned a permanent spot on my board.
Not a bad little tremolo. The rate, depth, and waveform knobs let you dial in exactly the trem you want. Doesn't really add any color to your tone. Sounds good. Not to beat a dead horse, but opening the battery compartment is a pain. It's a little like my Digitech delay pedal where you can use the 1/4" plug on your guitar cable to depress the pins, but the Behringer pins are smaller than the 1/4" plug so you've got to use a pen or screwdriver to depress them. It's not a deal-breaker though. You'll get used to it.The plastic housing feels cheap and is a little frightening, but so far so good. Just remember it's a pedal, not a stompbox.
This is a very decent pedal for the price mark. I’ve used it with guitar and electric piano, and I’m getting exactly the sound I wanted. In my experience, this is not true of all Behringer kit, where some is absolutely great value, and some is frankly substandard. A good look at reviews and feedback about individual products is both helpful and essential. The service by Anderson’s Music was excellent.
This pedal produces surprising good tones at a very affordable price. Even though the housing is plastic, it appears to be fairly sturdy especially for a part-time player like me. I put it in my pedal chain temporarily to test drive it, so I used a battery in the tremolo instead of 9v power supply. Naturally I forgot to unplug it. When I sat down to play the following night, the battery must have been nearly depleted and at that low voltage it produced some really interesting distorted vibes! Might be interesting to mod one for voltage control if a person had that capablility. (I don't.) Anyway, I'll probably take a look at some of their other pedals based on the performance of this one. Only reason I'm giving it a four rating instead of five is the plastic case ... MoreThis pedal produces surprising good tones at a very affordable price. This is a very nice pedal. To be truthful, I wasn't really expecting to get anything of this nice quality for the price I paid. But I needed a tremolo effect pedal quickly for some upcoming gigs until I could get the tremolo in my Fender Vibrasonic fixed.I grew up with fine 60's Fender amps and know what tremolo should sound like. This Behringer UT300 does that old Fender tremolo in Aces! Since I received it, I used it on some of my other amps as well. It's a perfect fit, no matter which amp I use. I read others commenting about its plastic case. Well, it seems very sturdy and very well built. I'm not rough on any of my equipment, so I expect this pedal to last for years. Besides, who really "stomps" on their pedals anyway? Buy this pedal, you won't be disappointed!
