The eight outlet multi-plug box with surge protector is really essential for anyone with multiple devices and especially if you live in an older property. We all have so many devices charge these days and would be devastated if they were damaged by an electrical surge. The addition of the two USB charging points – which charge devices very quickly, is excellent and extremely convenient. The spacing of the plug points on the device is excellent you can use all eight plugs. It is also a sleek and stylish design that doesn’t need to be hidden

Have many of these around the house now. These are the best 8 plug surge protectors I've found in terms of build quality (only thing better would be Belkins more expensive black Pro series with double spaced plugs and $250K Warranty). Build quality is super solid. Doesn't feel like cheap crappy plastic as most do these days. USB's are great for charging phones without needing to take up another spot. Although it is not fast charging like you get with the Samsung supplied charger. Nice long cable to reach around awkward rooms that lack power outlets. And also has some built in moulding in the bottom to manage cables and allow other cables to flow underneath easily. Only con would be that the plugs are rather closely placed, so you will have trouble fitting things ... MoreHave many of these around the house now. Would have been great if they could double space the plugs like on their Pro series. Other than that, perfect surge protectors that do exactly what I want of them.

Up till now I figured that these kind of things were pretty much the same. But this Belkin outlet is far superior to any I've had and used up till now. The recessed power switch makes it far more difficult to switch off by accident. The 2 meter cable means I can place it closer to where I can check it and to use the USB ports without having to crawl underneath my desk. And because it's closer I can also check the protection status lights at a glance. Oh ... and someone must have put some thought and effort into designing the unit so that it looks sharp. So all multiple outlet boxes with surge protection are not pretty much alike. Belkin has lifted them to a new standard!

Great surge protector, have been using belkin surge protectors for years and have never had problems. This surge protector is nicely spaced out and has a good cord length. Awesome product would recommend to anyone wanting a new surge protector. Only con it is abit large but it is what you expect for 8 plugs.

So necessary and we learnt the hard way. Crisis number one ... a contractor in our retirement village stuffed up some wiring causing a power surge ... stereo radio player stuffed. But was fixable! $200 down the drain because it happened again before we got active with researching new surge protectors! Second crisis was the transformer out in the street throwing a hissy fit ... the stereo radio player was stuffed again and add the power supply in a computer.with these two new Belkin surge protectors we hope we are protected from such disasters!

Works fine for power distribution. Wish it had a higher joule rating though. And after buying at JB Hi-Fi, I saw that other retailers have it up to $10 cheaper. That was quite annoying.

Belkin port gizmo gadget surge protection

As my original Belkin seems to have died I needed something in a hurry ... unfortunately they don't make like my old one anymore so went with this one. It's not had a true workout yet, but considering my other one has lasted me over 20 years and two batteries later, I'm hoping this will be as good as I have expensive sewing machines that I can't just replace with an el cheapo!

Good build quality, but way too bulky

The quality is there just like what you expect from Belkin, but why that is tooooo bulky? About 30% of the size is unnecessary which could be eliminated by a smarter design. If it was utilised to space out the plug socket that justify but even that's not the case. The previous model from 10 years ago which had the same number of sockets, and phone sockets, and TV antenna socket, was still smaller.

Great multimedia/pc powerboard

Updated my home studio and put this board at the core of the power sollution. Nice to see enough power sockets and just the right amount of USB plugs, as well as a lengthy cable but space beneath the board to store the unused lenght.The built in switch means a lot less digging to find the wall socket and the build quality feels great. A simple sollution that has given me room to expand with some more equipment while keeping things organised.
