It does not collapse so I keep the box available for storage! Presentation went on without any issues and afterwardsâŚ. my phone was charged and ready to go again, Quick simple! Win! Win!

I like this Belkin Boost Up wireless charging stand It has two functions One charging and also cell phone holder. Sturdy and reliable. Replaced a cheapie wireless stand and this one is much nicer. Yes , so the edges of the front phone holder allow the phone to be placed horizontally so the charging area can still line up. Fast wireless charging for a great price. The upright or side charging position due to the shape of the charger is so useful in comparison with the laying down ones.

Wireless charging is one of those features that is by no means necessary, but is great to have because of its convenience. No more do you have to reach down behind your nightstand because your charging cable fell off, or do you have to go look and see where your charging cable is. Luckily, they do tend to go on sale frequently.Belkin is a quality brand, so I always feel confident buying their products. This Belkin charger feels a little cheap (especially for the price) but it's easy to use and charges (certain phones) fast. And you can use it in landscape mode or portrait mode. I'm personally not sure of the benefits of having landscape mode, I guess if you were watching a movie (maybe for a screen saver or clock on your night stand?), so for me it's unnecessary but I always like options. While the plastic feels cheap, it's built well in the sense that it's really sturdy and your phone won't slide out of place. The Qi pad is large enough so that most any phone will charge (since some phones vary the placement of the Qi charging connections, sometimes placement, especially on a flat charging puck can be a little finnicky). My only real qualm, and it is NOT Belkin's fault, is that my Pixel 3 XL doesn't fast charge on this stand. Google only unlocks its fast charging in the Pixel Stand which is a shame. But my wife has an iPhone XS and her phone charges very rapidly with this charger. Maybe not as fast as a lightning cable plugged directly in, but she certainly hasn't complained about the charge time. All in all, this is a great product, but it's a bit pricey given the cheap build (and I don't mean cheap in a bad way, I only mean it when taking into account it's high MSRP). But if you can get this stand on sale, I think it's a no brainer purchase.

Also, the same rubberized strips are found on the bottom of the plastic frame, designed to keep the stand secure on whatever surface you place it on.I have other brands and types of chargers, and they each have their pros/cons. As does this particular Belkin model. I, myself, really like the way the back part is rounded, instead of it being an elongated rectangle you find in a lot of charging stands. There is a small light at the top edge of the circle, which tells you your device is charging. Itâs tiny, but once you know to look for it, thatâs enough. The only thing some people might not like is that the stand isnât able to be folded up and tucked away, say for easy portability so you can use it âon the go.â But this is a negligible detail to me, since Iâll primarily be using it at home and leaving it plugged in for everyday use. This Belkin 10W Wireless Charging Stand works with both Apple and Android Qi enabled devices. And based on my initial experience, it does charge my phone considerably faster than a regular charging cord or my other stands.
I use this primarily for an iPhone XR at work and it worked like a charm. It works so well with my iXR that I can charge it upright, laid sideways across the âarmsâ of the cradle, or even upside down. Most of the time I charge my phone in the normal upright position, but a few times -- long days of back-to-back conference calls for example -- Iâve needed to charge the phone AND use a wired headset at the same time, and in those situations being able to charge the phone sideways or upside down on the stand keeps the power flowing and the connector port exposed at the same time.2 things this back from being a 5 star device to me: 1) The chargers own connector port should be USB-C, micro-USB is increasingly outdated. 2) One of the benefits of wireless charging is that it frees up the phoneâs physical connector port, but in wireless stands like this the connector port is all-too-often left inaccessible which defeats that benefit. In this case itâs not so bad since the design works even with my phone in other orientations, so itâs workable, but it would be preferable if future stand designs allowed the phone's connector to remain accessible for increased user flexibility.
With Appleâs recent announcement that they would not be coming out with their own wireless charging standard, it appears that the Qi standard will emerge as the winner. It supports both portrait and landscape positioning, so you could use it to charge your phone while watching a video. I wish that Belkin had also allowed for the possibility of removing the charging pad itself so that it could be laid down flat if desired. I realize that they sell another charging pad that lays flat, but it would be much more versatile if they allowed us to choose whether to use it as a stand or a pad.The box states that there is an LED light that shows the status of the charging phone. Yes, there is an LED, but itâs either on or off. If the phone is in the stand, then the light is on. If the phone is not in the stand, then itâs off. It does not go out when the phone reaches 100% charge. So, the light is basically useless. Given the fact that itâs behind the phone anyway, you can safely ignore it, as it doesnât add anything to the function of the charger. As a charger, the Belkin 10W charger works well. It couldnât be easier to use--simply put the phone in the stand with the back of the phone against the charger, and youâre good to go. I havenât done a scientific comparison, but it does seem to charge quicker than using a traditional charging cable. Is it worth spending $50 to buy one of these? Thatâll depend on how much of a hassle you think it is to plug in a charging cable. Or perhaps you want your phone to be visible while charging--I think thatâs the real reason to buy this. If youâre not one of the aforementioned people, you can probably get along just fine with your traditional charging cable. For the next version of this charger, Iâd like to see Belkin make it possible to remove the pad from the stand. This would make it more versatile, as well as easier to travel with it. I do like this charging stand, and itâs well built, providing a convenient, elegant way to charge your phone, and it looks better than just having a cable lying across the table.
For any/all iPhone owners, one of the biggest issues they have is with the charge/sync cable. It frays easily, sometimes breaks and, overall, itâs just not as sturdy as we would all hope. Initially it was cool however the Samsung wireless charger was finicky. If you placed your phone on it incorrectly, even by a small amount, the phone wouldnât charge, and you wouldnât know this until the following morning. I had that same thought when using this charger however that doesnât seem to be an issue with this Belkin charger. Itâs has a small footprint so it shouldnât take up too much room and there are rubber pads on the bottom to prevent the charger from sliding around too much.To start, itâs not that hard to place your phone incorrectly in this thing. Itâs vertical (my previous wireless charger was flat, so thereâs only one way it can sit in the cradle. You can also place your phone horizontally in the charger however I generally keep mine in portrait orientation. Iâm also using an Otterbox Symmetry case on my phone and there is no issue with using that case and this charger. I believe it will work with cases up to 3mm thick? I could be wrong but Iâm pretty sure most ânormalâ cases should work with this charger.Charger does work pretty fast. I normally charge my phone at bedtime and I simply place my iPhone in the cradle and, next morning, itâs fully charged. Last I checked I think I got about 20% charge after 10-15 minutes or so? I think thatâs fine so no issues there for me. I read another review here about a user complaining this charger caused touchscreen issues with the phone. I was a bit hesitant to use this however, after a week or so of use, I donât see any issues with the display or touch screen sensitivity.Overall, itâs a very convenient charger for your nightstand or office desk. You simply plop it into the cradle to charge and pick it up whenever youâre ready to go. No more plugging/unplugging the charger into your phone so itâs very easy and convenient.
I've been wanting a good, wireless charging stand for a while now and when I saw the Belkin charger that allowed me to place my phone either vertically or horizontally beside my bed I knew that I wanted to give it a try. I set it up and plug it in and put my phone on charge..yep, my iPhone XS Max immediately began charging and after about 10 minutes on the pad it had fast charged so I was pretty confident in the charging stand at this point.Still, until you test it out overnight you just never know. I did notice that just about any way in which I put the phone on the charging stand it would charge, much better than my cheaper, non-Belkin pad that you have to sort of lie the phone down in a certain area. This thing allows you to place it just about anywhere. This is a huge aspect of using a charging pad or stand in that if you have to place in a very specific area and fail to your phone may not be charged and ready when you need it so in that respect I feel this is a huge issue that Belkin got right so kudos to them for this!So night time comes around and I set my alarm, put on my clock (which stays on all night) and put the phone on the charging stand. It's nice that you do get haptic feedback to tell you it's on the stand and is charging. There is also a nice, soft light that shows the status of the charge on the top of the stand, which is slightly behind the phone (we don't need blinking lights lights to keep us awake so excellent design decision). The light stays on when fully charged and blinks when charging. If you don't see the light then nothing is happening in regards to charging. So if in doubt, it is nice to just look at the light to ensure you're charging, or fully charged without having to turn on the phone to check.Next morning I wake up and the phone is fully charged and everything worked just fine. I have been using this for about two weeks now and not on iota of issue. The phone always charges fully and quickly and I love this product so much I just may end up buying one for my wife's iPhone 8 Plus as well. This is the stand I've been looking for and I'm very, very happy with it!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Here we have another conservatively designed yet perfectly functional 10W Qi wireless charging pad from the good folks at Belkin. Rather than having the round charging plate sitting flat on the tabletop like a coaster or hockey puck, this one is designed like an artist's easel to hold your phone upright and angled towards you. In this position, you can comfortably watch a video from your seat, listen to music, make a call, or tap/use gestures for phone control without necessarily having to pick it up to do so. Thoughtfully, this stand also allows you to charge the unit while the phone is in landscape mode, making for easy table-top viewing of wide-format movies/videos while still jamming those charging ions back into in the phone's battery. Thoughtfully, this stand also allows you to charge the unit while the phone is in landscape mode, making for easy table-top viewing of wide-format movies/videos while still jamming those charging ions back into in the phone's battery. We've got about 7 wireless charging pads littered about the house now, but I didn't realize how nice it would be to actually use the phone naturally while it was still charging as I've become accustomed to picking the phone up off a charging pad when I needed to work the controls--such is not necessary with the Belkin stand. While not TOO large, the orientation of the charger itself does seem to take up just a little more space sitting there than a smaller, coaster-sized charging plate because while it's sticking up, you have to be mindful of the fact that you might knock it over with your hands--you also can't easily set a few papers or anything on top of it when not in use. Both front and rear supports have a rubberized runner across the bottom surface to prevent the unit from sliding around, but the support legs are NOT collapsible which feels like a missed opportunity because this would make for an awesome travel charging stand if you could pack it flat.Like Belkin's other understated wireless chargers this year, the status light is a single, mercifully small white pinhole LED indicator--what I affectionately refer to as "sleep-friendly." One of my review photos shows the charging status LED lit up on the top edge of the charging surface--when the phone is oriented vertically on the stand, the LED is fully behind the top edge of my iPhone X. The LED also turns orange to indicate a problem (foreign object between phone and charging surface, device misalignment, high temperature warning, etc.), but an additional color to indicate the phone is fully charged would have been a nice touch. As it is, the white LED remains solidly lit while there's a phone on the stand, and when the battery is fully charged--essentially meaning you'll pretty much always see a white LED indicator when a phone is properly sitting against the charging surface, regardless of battery charge level. This is about my only real usability complaint because the charger does deliver on the fast-charge promise. Specifically, the included Quick-Charge AC-to-USB power adapter took about 30-ish minutes to pull up a phone with a 4% charge level back into the low 80% territory, so a differently colored status light would have been a useful addition to know when the battery was back to a full charge.Stylistically, the Belkin does its job but nothing much more...construction is all black, semi-gloss plastic; the face isn't adorned with any ornamentation or loud/colored branding. In the center of the charging surface, a subtle, recessed Belkin man logo is standing above equally small and understated "belkin" lettering...that's pretty much all you see from the front. It's unassuming and professional-looking and would do just fine in an office setting if you needed something out in the open that wasn't loud or garish. Rather than rely on a noisy fan for heat control, the charger is designed to throttle charging output if there's a temperature problem and cut off charging entirely if the phone remains hot for an extended period of time. Honestly, I haven't experienced any such problems so I can't personally attest to just how well this might work in practice, but I will say that the thermally controlled fan in a competitor's high-output wireless charger became so intrusive that I ended up moving this fanless charger onto my nightstand thanks to its blissfully silent operation. There is a thoughtfully recessed cutout at the back of the charging plate to accommodate the head of the micro USB charging cable--this effectively provides strain relief for the small (and often delicate) micro-USB connector, a definite plus for the sake of longevity given how many times I've had a micro-USB connector fail on me. Of note, the included charging cable is only 4 feet long...so long as you have an outlet for the Quick Charge adapter handy within that distance, you're golden.Typical of Belkin's offerings, this is another well-designed accessory that does its job very well, and does it in a way that doesn't draw attention to the fact that it's doing so. I do wish the stand could fold flat as I think that alone would help elevate this charger well above any competition offering similar stand-up charging capabilities; but it's still a solid unit worthy of consideration--definitely recommended.
