These are rated at 15 amps but that is the total for the entire unit. using this with an appliance with high draw is not recommended. The individual outlets are plastic and not NEMA rated. You will notice that all your homes wall outlets are of a hard plastic materi8al. These are each rated to carry the full load supplied to the line which in most outlets is 15 amps. The problem is not the current but the heat which may be produced in certain instances. The outlets in this device can melt at that level of heat. So for an LCD monitor, some wall warts, or other low-draw devices this is a nice unit, but the use of a thermal plastic for the actual outlets is something you should be aware of.

I wanted to use this Belkin International - 6-Outlet Pivot-Plug Surge Protector for my new TV with the cable box & extended WiFi adapter but it was compatible to my older outlet on that wall where the Tv stand is set up.My husband put it in the outlet where my couch is up against another wall an my laptop and table lamps and smart plugs are on, that wall where is a newer replaced outlet I got to use the Belkin International - 6-Outlet Pivot-Plug Surge Protector on. I was able to adjust my couch towards the wall because the plugs pivot giving me that space behind the couch. I like being able to protect my laptop if in a power surge, wish I was able to use on an older outlet for my Tv.
I have a few different Belkin surge protectors as they are made great and very reliable. This surge protector is exactly what I needed for my daughters room. The rotating outlets works perfectly for what we needed to plug in, everything is now safe and no crazy wires going everywhere. The outlets are very easy to maneuver and love how the surge protector is on the wall in the existing outlet instead of being on a floor or mounted somewhere.

This is a nice little surge protector with 6 outlets. Each outlet can be moved to accommodate differing size plugs and adapters. This protector will take up 1 duplex outlet. The face plate has to be removed and plugged into the outlet. The. A screw is screwed into the middle of the outlet so the device is secured. As for the surge protection belkin is a well respected company. I haven't had a surge while owning this device so hopefully I will never find out if the surge protection works.
