Although this is a more road orientated helmet, its DNA stems from its sister helmet, the popular Bell MX-9. Whether you plan on tearing up your local green lanes or commuting in the concrete jungle, the MX-9 Adventure is a sure way to get the motocross look without having to give up those daily practicalities. Bell have chosen a Polycarbonate ABS shell to provide enough strength to pass ECE regulations while keeping things affordable for the average rider. Internally, the helmet is also equipped with Bell’s signature MIPS technology. This multi-directional impact system slip-plane technology within the helmet reduces rotational forces present in specific impacts, crucially minimising energy transfer onto vulnerable areas of the head. This MX-9’s real forte is the level of airflow on tap. A gaping adjustable mouth vent dominates the front with two slash vents on either side of the chin and two more on the top portion of the shell. The crisp air is forced through channels and expelled by a 4-way exhaust exit vent at the rear to keep you cool. A scratch-resistant anti-fog flip-up visor is also integrated as standard. The rider can pair this with goggles by leaving it up or remove it altogether for a more unobtrusive setup. Similarly, the peak has two position settings but can also be removed for long-distance riding if preferred. This helmet is only certified for use on UK and European roads.
