This was a reorder of the helmet due to damage to the first one I ordered. I will be returning this helmet for the same issue. The helmet goes well and appears to be a good helmet. However, both helmets arrived with non operational sun visors and excessive squeaking in the left chin/ear area. I had to insert the left side is the sun visor for both helmets. I suspect that something happened to the helmets prior to packaging since the boxes were not damaged. This could be a great helmet, I seem to have gotten damaged goods.

Got this as my first helmet when I started riding. I wore it almost every day to commute to work.I got an XL and it fit well, but only having three shell sizes means the XL shell is the same for the XXL and XXXL, so it looks and feels enormous on the outside.I installed a Cardo unit in it for music, and it was easy thanks to the speaker cutouts.The sun visor goes down far, which I like. But for some reason, the top face visor gasket scrapes the inside of the visor, creating a bunch of scratches and obstructing the view at the top of the visor.The padding on the inside feels comfortable, but when I put my gloves in the helmet, the velcro from them tore up the fabric, so don't get velcro anywhere near the inside. I gave the helmet a four star rating because 3.5 wasn't available. The flip down visor works though it seems to restrict some of the ventilation from the chin vent. Ventilation over all is good in this helmet. For me the biggest negative is this helmet has a lot of wind noise above 50 MPH. If you don't spend much time at highway speeds it is not a problem and can be worn without earplugs. Keeping in mind his is a $400 helmet and it has been a very long time since I have purchased a helmet at that price which is at least half of what I would normally spend. All brands high end price helmets will to a much better job of cutting down wind noise which is why one pays so much more. Finally thoughts for the price it is a nice helmet and it serves the purpose it is built for, but most riders will find they want to ware earplugs. If you are looking for a perfect modular helmet than you will need to spend twice as much money and buy the Shoei.

I like the helmet, It seems as though a lot of people switch to the 35mm cheek pads which I am going to do so maybe it should ship with those. I love the Protint visor that I purchased, the only thing is when it is in the first detent I can not see my mirrors due to the distortion of the bottom of the shield which hits right across my mirrors that my last helmet did not have. Also, the chin bar does not feel as significant as my last modular. It does flow a lot more air across the top than my other modular which is nice. The pads on the helmet straps could be a bit shorter because they overlap quite a bit when cinched up and it tends to fold right at my ear so I have to reach in and smooth it out. Overall I like the helmet. Overall a great helmet. Good strong detents on visor so it will stay in position from fully open to just cracked while riding. Internal sun visor gives very good coverage, easy to operate and plenty of room for my eyeglasses. Vents are okay, not a ton of airflow but adequate. Being able to just crack the visor keeps me cool on 90+ degree days. My first modular, very happy. A bit of wind noise but I wear earplugs anyhow so not an issue.
The fit is good but, it's very loud and noisy especially when riding on the freeway. It's also very drafty. I kept trying to close the vents while riding thinking that's where the draft and cold was coming from but, no! Wind enters from around the visor. The seal around the visor needs to be tighter. In very cold weather this would suck. Your head would freeze! I was hoping this helmet to be better. But it's not.Also, the chin strap needs to be a ratchet style. The current chin strap is not easily manageable with gloves. For a $400 helmet I'm very disappointed and would not recommend to anyone.

I ride every day for about 10 months out of the year, both commuting as well as long tours. I decided on White for this helmet. If you ride frequently, it is good to have more than one lid. The craftmanship, fit and finish on the helmet is excellent. The balance is very good with the chin bar down and it carries its weight well. The optics are second to none and if you treat it kindly both the faceshield and dropdown visor will last the life of the helmet. It is the best helmet I have found if you wear glasses.
