The fact is that even a streamlined modern lifestyle demands a lot of pocket furniture, and by the time you've lined up your phone, passport, wallet, earphones, e-reader, keys, sunnies and any other odds and ends, it's all starting to get a bit bulky. This one from Bellroy is a cut above the rest, with premium features like a soft-lined phone sleeve, water-resistant zips and a self-compressing gusset to keep it trimmed in. With three pockets (including a secret one on the back) and internal dividers, it's surprisingly spacious, and the webbing strap has a clever magnetic clasp that’s quick to fasten and release. It's constructed in a water-resistant recycled fabric that's tough enough to take you across the world and back again. It’s also the exact same thought process that a collective of designers and craftsmen had in the early 00’s in Bells Beach, a small coastal town along Australia’s Great Ocean Road. After a few years of tinkering and perfecting their design — and a move to Melbourne’s trendy Fitzroy district — Bellroy was born; their impact on the everyday carry industry has been seismic. Now a respected brand with a dedicated global following, Bellroy have expanded their range to include backpacks, passport holders, pouches and a whole slew of wallets, from zip-up coin pouches to premium leather models. Despite that growth, these Aussies are keeping their feet on the ground - Bellroy is a certified B Corp, striving to reduce their impact on the environment as much as possible. From travel folios and wash bags to everyday backpacks and wallets, Bellroy exists to provide the very best carry items - invariably, their fusion of considered design and premium materials means that their products are exactly that. The best.

The 2.5 L sling is great for short day trips or running around town. I put my pocket camera, phone, passport, and ear buds in it and it was a good fit. Bellroy has a comfortable strap with their slings so it doesn't pinch your skin. The magnetic lock is nice but you do have to be more careful while you are wearing it. If the connection rubs up against something or bumps something, it could seperate. I haven't run into it yet, but some reviews have mentioned it. If you are on a trip and you need to pack a small umbrella and a water bottle, you will need a bigger sling. I sometimes use the Bellroy lite sling for my vacations or the AER Day Sling 3. My husband has a light version 7L and loved it when we travelled overseas. I found this 2L version and purchased the Ranger Green, the maximum weight I am willing to carry. Surprisingly, when I used it for the first time on our winter trip, I carried it every day. I like the number of compartments and the stability this sling bag offers. I can wear it in the front or back, like a regular crossbody bag. Just this sling bag and carry-on luggage are all I need to travel light,

I was looking for a lightweight sling that could be packable and carry my rectangular sunglasses case. Unfortunately when you place items in each compartment, it looks very bulky. I only wanted to place my phone, sunglasses case, keys and wallet but it looked too bulky and massive width wise. I had to return it but the quality of the bag is superb.

Bellroy is known for their intelligent and useful designs and this bag fits that bill. It's not the largest bag, but it's a reasonably compact size with good pockets inside to separate and organize your items. My non-negotiable feature for a pack was an external pocket that faces inside so it allows me to easily access my phone when needed. Surprisingly not too many packs have that so I'm glad this venture ready model does. However, my favourite feature on this bag is the key leash. It's pretty long so I'm able to keep my keys clipped to the bag even when I need to fob in and out of my condo. No more misplaced keys! It's a bit pricier but I think it's good value for the features and the low-key design that won't go out of style too quickly
Good quality sling. Perfect size to just load up my EDC items (phone, keys, wallet, AirPods, sunglasses, power bank, cable and charger). Load up anymore and it gets bulky. The magnetic buckle stays on and I have not had an issue of it accidentally disconnecting. The front two zippers are AquaGuard. Would have been nice to have the rear zipper to be AquaGuard as well.
I had been looking for a bag this size for a while and this checked the mark for minimal branding, useful pockets, and a strap that could help minimize the size. That has a plus over hip bags that will hang in a droopy way. The straps are very rigid which seem sturdy but a little awkward until they loosen up a bit. The split compartment of the front pocket also doesn’t seem useful and is a bit limiting. Zippers on main compartment close at opposite ends of the bag, rather than meeting in middle. I see the function of it but also seems more likely to not be fully secured and risk of theft more easy.
Good size to fit keys, wallet, a foldable grocery bag and small miscellaneous items. Thought the magnetic fidlock bit was a gimmick but it's handy for taking off the bag in tight quarters (e.g. driving with seatbelt on and needing to hand it to my wife). Also appreciate bidirectional zipper on main pocket as I like opening from a specific direction.
Excellent sling with lots of storage capacity. Typically, I carry a phone in the back pocket. Keys, multi tool, and a lighter go in the front pocket. In the main compartment (includes a divider) I carry a notebook, a pen, tissues, a foldable tote bag for shopping, a wallet, and a flashlight. And it's not too bulky. Great sling from Bellroy.
The venture ready sling is the perfect unassuming crossbody sling for daily or targeted adventures. I felt like the size was 'right' - not too big, not too small. I like the compression of the side straps as well as the ability to keep a phone protected on the inside from keys, pens, etc. The organization is just right. I paired this with a Bellroy lite pouch (small) and feel like I can throw everything in the sling to keep my hands and pockets free. Great buy.
I bought this because I didn't want to put anything in my pockets.Fits what I need:keys, airpod pros, pen, wallet, field notes, sunglasses, eye drops, and phone.Has a neat little hidden slip pocket for an airtag in the main compartment.Magnet buckle seemed scary at first, but it's pretty hard to remove accidentally
