Of all the premium ice cream brands, Ben and Jerry's is my favourite. As it melts it's just so creamy when some of the others seem quite watery. The brand has great ethical practices and they are so generous with their toppings and additions.Phish Food is probably my favourite of all their flavours (or at least the ones that I've tried - I'm well prepared to be proved wrong!). The rich chocolate has a hint of bitterness, but the sweet gooey marshmallow cuts through this and the chocolate fish and generously thrown in and delicious!The worst thing about this item? Tough to decide - it's either having to be patient for 10 minutes while it reaches the perfect temperature from the freezer, or having to share it!

In my first bowl there was lots of creamy chocolate ice cream with surprise's of dark chocolate phish shaped pieces, a fantastic tasty addition. The chocolate phish were a nice surprise hidden within the ice cream, one complaint could be that there want enough phishes within the tub. Regarding the marshmallow and the caramel I did not really realise that they were in the product whilst eating. Nonetheless the taste of the chocolate ice cream was so good I did not feel like I missed out on the caramel or the marshmallow. The marshmallow inside the ice cream is sweet and fluffy (reminds me of clouds) and gives the ice cream a wonderful texture. The little chocolate fish are really tasty too and it is nice to have the mixture of textures with the soft ice cream, fluffy marshmallow and the chewy chocolate fish. I think that Ben & Jerry's are my favourite brand for ice cream, I have yet to find one i don't like. Phish food is for the ultimate sweet tooth - chocolate lovers, the chocolate icecream is intense, so smooth and creamy. Combined with gooey caramel and marshmallow, it is insane and to break up the sweetness just a tiny bit there are thick, chunky dark chocolate phish. This flavour is an absolute dream. I have an extreme sweet tooth, this hits the spot and it's difficult not to eat the whole tub!!
Absolutely love Ben and Jerryâs Ice cream. Iâm not normally a fan of chocolate ice cream so wasnât sure if phish food was going to be for me. However the children really wanted to try it so we brought it. It was amazing!! With the marshmallow and the caramel it was so tasty. But the best bit about phish food is finding the fishy shaped chocolate in your ice cream. I would recommend leaving the tub out of the freezer for 5-10 mins before enjoying otherwise it is a harder icecream. Absolutely delicious.

The fudge fish add a nice semi-crunchy texture when you come upon them as well. They are definitely a strong chocolate and when you are working your way through a pint of soft ice cream and gooey caramel and marshmallow, it's nice to have an occasional crunch to break up that monotony and these fish do a good job of that. They just add to the powerful chocolate taste of the ice cream.Buy It or Go By It? This one is extremely sweet and a complete chocolate overload, so based on my tastes, I would say BUY IT. If chocolate is not your thing, you'll probably want to stay away from this one because it will drive you silly (or make you feel stoned on chocolate) with its overwhelming flavor.
