This thing is outstanding. I make absolutely no effort to control room lighting. There is 100sqft of window right next to where this unit projects onto a white wall (until I finalize the screen size I want) and it's still plenty bright. At 100" it's bright enough for daytime use. At 80" it's significantly brighter than my old LED TV. Can't wait to throw an ALR screen at this thing! Of note: Provide your own media solution. The streaming dongle that comes with this projector is OK, but no Netflix and adding advertisements on the home screen make it a hard pass for me.
Great short throw projector. Works amazing even without a screen. I bet it will even much better on a screen. Couple of issue:1. I did try to project on a prefixed screen. And it wouldn't align. Best advise. Fix the screen after setting up the projector.2. Now and then wifi keeps getting disconnected on the benq cast. All my devices in the basement seem to be fine. But benq seems to be having the problem.3. The audio return isn't working. Right now managing with optic cable for sound to my home theater sound system.
Let me start by saying I love shopping at Best Buy having total tech-support because not only just a price match have free protection plans but you can also return things without a restocking fee which I had to do quite a few times during my projector finding adventure. There was a few broken ones in the mix to but now I have the BenQ and I am beyond satisfied with my purchase. Has outstanding colors very bright image laser projector that last 20,000 hours it’s a little bit on the finicky side to set up… but all the ust are . If you are looking for an ultra short throw at around $3500 this is the one to buy

The price dropped just before I received it and projectorscreen.com honored the new price and refunded the difference! While I could have gotten the LTV-2500 for the same original price I got the V7050i for, I'm still happy with the purchase, lens protector cover is a great feature. I used the refunded difference to purchase the Spectra slider. Now, for the projector itself. It's bright and the colors look amazing. Blacks could be a touch better, but I need to get an ALR screen to really see the improvements. I'll order that soon. I may build a hush box if I feel necessary, but I always expect some noise from projectors. eARC would have been nice, but I use an HDMI splitter anyway to get uncompressed sound for my sound system, so not a huge loss. I still need to try out the 3D mode, but I've been very happy with 3D on all my BenQ projectors in the past and expect great things here. Pros: Colors Brightness 3D Cons: No eARC A little noisy
Needs some adjusting or course but once you get it straight it looks great. Plenty bright even in a well lit room. Good sound quality, just perfect.
So far so good, coupled with UST screen, looks great at night, better than conventional projections in lots of sunlight but still not good,Takes a bit to boot up and the eye protection detectors seem to give erroneous readings at times when nothing seems to be in the way. Next crisp, accurate picture.
In this ever changing landscape of UST Projectors the BenQ V7050i is the King-of-the-Hill (at this price point). I've own 2 other ust projectors (Hisense L5F & Optoma P2) and this is the one I am sticking with. Great design, awesome color space, bright enough for daytime viewing, and last but not least 3D. I could have bought this from Benq direct but I chose Projectorscreen.com because of Brian's awesome video reviews on Youtube. My unit was shipped out to me quickly and with a nice note and a free bag of microwave popcorn. It's the little things that make the difference. You know?? Keep up the great work!!
