A Solid Vitamin C Serum

After looking at about a dozen Vitamin C serums, I settled on the Benton serum. It looked like a great formulation with ingredients that I knew my skin could benefit from. This formula also comes in an airtight pump so no fussing with a dropper bottle. The only disappointment was in the texture. The serum is described as being lightweight and milky but mine is thick and sticky. I'm not sure if the description is wrong or I received a thicker than normal product. It does take a little more effort to apply and melts into the skin easily. The good news is that I have seen improvement in the overall brightness and texture of my complexion. I would recommend this product only if one is okay with the thick texture.

Can only apply during nighttime

Got influenced to purchase this. I have combo-oily reactive skin and this serum does not irritate me or cause me any breakouts. This has a very good airless pump design which keeps the serum fresh. The serum itself is thick in texture, almost like a cream, has an oily texture and takes some time to spread and absorb into skin. Rubbing the serum in circular motion into skin will cause it to pill, so I only spread this onto skin and wait for it to get absorbed, which makes it quite difficult to be fully absorbed. I find this not compatible with most sunscreens, it turns my BOJ sunscreen to a watery film. Serum with visible results

This is the only vitamin C serum out of the many I've tried where I've actually seen visible results. It has reduced redness and faded old, stubborn acne scars, while new blemishes are also healing much faster. The airless pump is great as it stops the serum from oxidising. The texture is sticky to start but once it warms up on your hands/face it glides like an oil. I generally prefer more watery/light textures but the results are so good I will repurchase this.

I have been using it for a week and in this short time I have good impressions - used as recommended by the manufacturer - after toner on wet skin - does not irritate despite the high percentage of ascorbic acid (20% + derivative), does not leave an oily layer, does not dry out, does not stick, when no skin warming sensation for me. The texture is runny, it spreads easily, one pump is enough for face and neck, it initially gives the impression of quite oily, but absorbs quickly. And in order to not have 100% happiness, the whim follows - you can very easily bring it to a flake - if you slow down and it absorbs / dries on the skin, applying the next step leads to the unpleasant situation. It does not tolerate many products on it. Still way less irritating with this kind of formula than other water serums with a higher percentage of vitamin c. Lastly I tried to wear it during the day and night and both work. I find that 1-2 pumps in the evening are good. One pump max in the morning. Use less in the beginning to see how the skin reacts.
