This series is really truly great, I love the two characters who feature heavily in this installment. Even though the 'bad guy' is truly wicked, you can't help but love him. The protagonist, Guts, is just brilliant, too. This series is twisted, in an excellent way. This is truly manga mastery.

This series is fascinating and and full of emotional complexity. Artwork is stunning and detailed. Though the series is tragic the moments of levity included leave me hopeful for a satisfying conclusion.
