Nice looking range with nice features. Oven heats up fast and the burners are excellent. I am concerned with its quality however. I received the first model that was broken out of the box. It took 2 months of back and forth between the manufacturer, the supplier and pc richards to finally get it replaced. This current model works but has some glitches. It regularly tells me to insert the food probe when I light certain burners and the display likes to display different/incorrect info throughout the day. Also it’s ridiculously overpriced for what it is.

My husband and I purchased a new Bertazzoni Masters 36' range for our newly remodeled kitchen-- completed April 2021. We have had nothing but trouble with this range. The heat is uneven and inconsistent. Oftentimes only a very small part of the "burners" actual get hot. Sometimes it isn't even in the center of the burner, but at an edge. All food has to be moved around in the pan to cook adequately. I cannot fry even two eggs at the same time on the largest burner. The bridge burner is a joke. Again, only a small section of the pan heats adequately. And you never know which section it will be. Attaining a low simmer on a pan of sauce is only a dream (one of the main reasons I bought this induction was the promise that the entire element heated up-- not so). The burners turn off automatically for no reason, even when not cooking on high heat. The oven rack tilts down when you pull it out. I almost had a full pan of food spill out of the oven the first time I used it when I pulled the rack out-- and not very far out at that. I have been trying to get help from Bertazzoni since May of 2021. Bertazzoni sent an "out-sourced" technician to my house in August-- finally, but he could not authorize any service. When he called Bertazzoni in Florida where all repairs are authorized, their representative was downright nasty (the technician had him on speaker phone). The technician told my husband and me that this is typical of Bertazzoni. They are horrid with service-- the technician contracts with many companies. He said that particular Bertazzoni representative seems to be Bertazzoni's gatekeeper-- he is always unpleasant.I have lost track of the number of times I have tried to get Bertazzoni to respond. I have contacted the company directly numerous times, I have contacted Purcell Murray, the California dealer representative several times. No action from either. Clearly Bertazzoni doesn't care. It's too bad because the range is gorgeous. We get compliments on it continually. When people have asked us how we like it, we have held back on any criticism because we wanted to give Bertazzoni a chance to fix the problems or replace the range. That time is now past. We plan to speak loud and long until we get satisfaction from Bertazzoni. My husband is a residential contractor, and has build many, many kitchens. He has installed appliances from a large number of companies over the past 30 years. He has never experienced a company that is less responsive than Bertazzoni. We feel we were sold down the river.

We've had this range cooker for about 7 months now, and regret buying it. It feels like a clear case of form over function. The major problem is that the temperature dials for the two ovens are imprecise: there are no markings for the temperatures between: 50-100; 100-150; 150-200 etc. So, if you want 180C you either need to buy an oven thermometer or guess and hang around the kitchen to keep an eye on your cooking! (Precisely as the previous reviewer commented, which sadly we didn't see before making our purchase). The thermometer on the central dial does NOT measure the oven temperature but the lining of the oven so is completely hopeless. So there's no correlation between the knob and this thermometer dial, we reported this as a fault to JL, but the engineer said it works as designed, and so JL were not interested in any further action. I'm cooking now, my oven knob says roughly 150 but the thermometer says about 200!!! I like baking and this is not conducive to being able to feel confident leaving something to cook. The ovens are quite noisy too, a low but loud rumble, I find it oppressive at times. The gas rings are very fierce, and will easily burn onions etc even at the lowest setting. We have to use the gas ring dials just past the ignition point to get an appropriately low heat. So, for us, the oven is not fit for purpose, and the JL customer support was woefully lacking. The cooker doesn't work as we would like, and we regret spending so much on something that we were immediately unhappy with. I think the Neff oven we removed was probably better! The review from the previous person is so similar there are clear problems here not being addressed by either JL or Bertazzoni - save your money!

But this same problem has reoccurred THREE times (Twice within the warranty period) and has not been resolved successfully. In my 36 months of ownership the oven has not worked for 12 or more of those months.I am not asking for warranty service for a new problem. I am asking for Bertazzoni to stand behind their product and repair this one reoccurring issue with the oven. At this point I am not sure they even now how to fix the problem.Very, very disappointed in the company's US operations.
I fell in love with the appearance of this product and the price for a "professional" range was appealing. I purchased this range to use in one of my high end spec homes with the intent to buy many more in the future. Upon arrival of my range I unboxed it, and noticed immediately that the thermometer guage for the oven DOES NOT HAVE ANY TEMPERATURES LABELED. The oven "thermometer" literally just says "PREHEAT, MEDIUM, HOT" How is anyone expected to cook like this? I contacted my sales rep and was told that "Bertazzoni was having problems with their thermometers not being accurate, so they decided to go this route instead." Honestly for a "PROFESSIONAL" range that excuse is simply laughable. Honestly for a "PROFESSIONAL" range that excuse is simply laughable. There are no positive stops on the temperature knob for the oven, not even a line on the knob that you can line up with the temperature. Not exactly sure how one is supposed to cook without knowing the internal temp of the oven. For a "professional" manufacturer, I would have expected the issue with the thermometer to have just been fixed, rather than make it worse by removing the temp gauge altogether. I'm a general contractor and had purchased this to install in one of my high end showrooms with the intent to install many of these in the future. That absolutely will not be happening.
Avoid purchasing Bertazzoni gas ranges in the Northeast USA because (1) of the scarcity of technicians qualified to repair these ranges; and (2) the warranty administrators with which Bertazzoni contracts (a) regularly misplace records of proof-of-purchase, serial numbers etc. that consumers provide; (b) fail to maintain staff such that a consumer has to explain issues over and over again to different representatives; and (c) make consumer jump through hoops to get a range repaired.I bought a gas range in Nov 2021 and it was installed October 2022 after construction was completed. To obtain a repair for a product under warranty, a form had to be filled out before being able to speak to a live person. After dealing with two different warranty administrators (PlusOne Solutions; and OnPoint Warranty); 5 visits from 3 different technicians; replacement of at least two broiler parts including a "thermocoupler" over several months; I tried to live with the inconsistently performing broiler.Today, 15Oct2025, when the oven failed to ignite, the broiler failed to ignite, and the burners failed to stay lit, OnPoint Warranty informed me the warranty period had expired based upon the 2021 purchase date and provided a short list of repair services that I could call at my own expense, even though the problem was essentially the same as the original unresolved defect. So much for Bertazzoni standing by its products! Looks pretty, performs not so well. I now wish I had bought the same Bosch range that I own in NYC which has given me not one ounce of agita in the 7 years I’ve owned it.

Unexpectedly amazing! We needed a stove that was 24 inches deep and there were not a lot of choices. We found that Bertazzoni had a stove that was 30 inches wide and 24 inches deep. Then we read the reviews. The reviews were terrible and we were very insecure about this choice. But we decided that, since it was the only stove that would fit, we would go ahead and purchase it and hope for the best. Wow were we astonished. We love love love the stove. We love the safety features which prevents the stove was from turning on if you just bumped into it. The stove heats up very quickly and it bakes and broils beautifully. The stove top has several burners which provide strong or simmering flames. This is the first stove that lets me make rice without having it boil over or stick to the bottom of the pan. It’s simmers food perfectly. We’ve had this stove for about six months and we have not tested every feature like the convection cooking. However, in spite of all the negative reviews we are very pleased. One of the negative reviews complained that it took a long time for the flames to come up on the top of the stove. We found that there is a little time between turning the knob, hearing the click of the gas, and the flame coming on. We also found out that this was a safety feature not a negative but a positive. Another negative review claimed that you needed to open up the stove in order to turn on the broiler. I found that this is not necessarily the case but as a precaution I simply open the oven door turn on the broiler check it to see that it’s on and continue with my broiling not a problem and again it’s just a safety factor. We found the stove to be consistent, easy to clean with just soap and water and a little soft cloth, and we have enjoyed the stove immensely. We decided to write this review because we thought we would counter all those terrible negative reviews that made us so uneasy about purchasing the stove. We are very happy and we hope that others will be happy with this stove as well.
This is our first experience with induction cooking. All I can say is, it is Amazing! Complete control like gas but without any fire risk. That includes a coil range as well.I cannot see going back to anything other than induction. We already used stainless steel cookware, so we did not need to buy anything additional. Just make sure you do your research so you are not surprised if your current cookware does not work with induction. A simple test with a magnet will tell you if your cookware is induction compatible. The oven is also amazing. There is a learning curve when going from a conventional oven. What has helped us, we also have a countertop Emeril French door air fryer/oven. The setup on our Berti is basically the same, only much larger. When I explain this to our guests, they always find that very amusing. We also purchased the slide rails for each shelf option. This is something I highly recommend doing. The slide rails are something you never knew you needed until you have them.We have not had our Berti for all that long, but so far I cannot say anything bad about it.If we ever sell our home, our Berti will be coming with us.
This is first induction range I have ever owned or used. Induction, is simply amazing! If you go with an induction range or cooktop, make sure you have the proper cookware that will work with induction. Induction, is simply amazing! If you go with an induction range or cooktop, make sure you have the proper cookware that will work with induction. The technology behind induction is so simple, we should have been doing this long ago.My wife and so far absolutely LOVE our Berti! The oven is amazing to cook in, just be aware there is a learning curve if you are used to a conventional oven. The induction cooktop is just as easy to control as gas. The cooktop also is so much safer than coils or gas. We have small grandchildren and there is very little burn hazard with induction or risk of fire.Maybe a strange comparison, but we also have an Emeril French Door air fryer/convection countertop oven that we use almost everyday. The Berti oven works exactly the same way and configuration. This reduced the learning curve for us exponentially. When I show off our Berti to guests, I tell them of the comparison and they always get a funny look on their face until I show them the two and how they both work. Then they expression changes to "oh wow, that is so cool."We also purchased additional slides for the internal oven shelves. This is a feature you didn't know you needed until have it.We have not had our Berti for very long, but so far it is AMAZING and we nothing bad to say about it.One last note, if you have a Roomba vacuum, they can fit under the range with the free standing legs. This is another plus. :-)
