These include new registration, inspection and certification requirements for property owners. As part of these changes, owners must register their pool and spa with their local council and inspect their safety barriers once every four years. If a Victorian residential pool or spa has a depth of 30cm or more (300mm), it is required to be surrounded by a safety barrier. This rule also applies to inflatable pools.
