I’ve been gluten free (diagnosed with celiacs) since 2011. Betty Crocker was the first mainstream brand I can remember having not only gf baked goods pre mixed boxes, but legit good ones that tasted normal. I love the brownies but all of the gf products are great! Even the pizza crust dough! Thanks Betty!

I'm giving this item five stars. I purchase this at Kroger's from the clearance rack and it was $2.49. I got it with a bit of intrigue but also reluctance because gluten-free items don't always taste the best Rom my experience, so I did not know what to expect. I waited a while before actually making them but to my pleasant surprise they actually taste very good. I used organic liquid egg so that was the only thing that I did "different" from the directions. In the first batch (I am made two small batches from one box). I added Nutella in the second batch and I'm not sure if that changes does gluten-free aspect of it at all but I did want to see how they would come out and it was delicious as well. OK, I never write food reviews but this time it is earned. Everyone loved them and couldn't believe how good they were. I was dubious when I opened the box as I couldn't see how this granular product could be anything but dry tasting. So glad I was wrong. I had to fish the box out of the garbage to prove they were gluten free and I didn't make them from scratch, my usual routine. Please use the butter it calls for as it gives them a richer flavor and make the edges so slightly crunchy and the top flaky while the inside is moist and chewy, just like my home made non-gluten free ones. It also pairs well with vanilla Gelato, yummy! It's a little pricey, but easy to make. A word of advice, always preheat your oven and make sure the temp is where it needs to be before putting them in. If you don't, they will be yucky as my friend just learned last night. BTW- I have tried three different from scratch recipes and this beats them all.

9 September 2020

Brownies were my all-time favorite dessert; they were the first thing I learned to cook as a kid! Then, 18 years ago I, one of my 3 kids, one of my 3 sisters and 2 of her 4 kids had to go GF. I discovered these brownies many years ago. They are now a staple at all family gatherings. Even my truly hard-to please, hate anything GF, non-GF sisters and our non-GF kids LOVE these brownies. We use avocado oil to make them. The biggest argument is nuts or no nuts. Thanks for keeping the ingredients pretty clean, too.

I gave this Chocolate fudge brownie box mix to my neighbours for their children to make them selves some treats. The familys children loved making the brownies them selves with a bit of help from mum & eating the finished brownies once they had cooled down was the best part. I would buy this box mix again & i know the children would enjoy making & eating them again.

Delicious, easy to make, gluten free chocolate fudge brownies
6 November 2020

How fantastic to be able to take the worry out of Christmas entertaining for your gluten free friends and family, or giving a delicious treat as a gift. Betty Crocker's gluten free chocolate fudge brownie mix is the quick easy answer. No weighing out of ingredients and just adding an egg and using a measuring spoon to add the oil and water, what could be simpler? Having experienced following a recipe and exploding a gluten free cake mixture in the oven, this is the answer to my prayers for help. I have used the brownie cake mix many times and it has always been successful. So if you want home made chocolate gluten free brownies, which taste and look good this festive season, without any hassle. I would definitely recommend this product.

Lifelong fan of Betty’s!

Havent had a reason to make a choc cake for years so when saw this cashback promo thought id give one a try. Familiarity with the box i just knew what to do. Nothing has changed. I like that! Easy to mix, box slimline for cupboards. Easy to bake and even easier to consume! Winner!

Nice but very sweet
14 September 2022

It's handy to have in cupboard, saves time and will satisfy chocolate cravings. It's very easy to make and you can easily involve children in the process which will be fun and will keep them busy for a while. I found it overly sweet but rest of the family didn't complain. Bought as a part of promotion.

These brownies were absolutely delicious - and so easy to make. Since they're so simple, it's fun and easy to get the kids involved. The website also has a whole pile of suggestions on creative things to do - completely free.I was quite excited to try these when I found out how little extra you need - almost everything is in the mix. The instructions are clear and they always turn out great. Even if you mix it up a little an use some of their ideas on site - still very easy and always turn out amazing. They don't taste shop bought and there is no funny after taste that you get from some instant baking packets.Betty Crocker makes very high quality baking kits, and I've been using many to bake with my kids this summer. Why does the list of ingredients now include soy?
5 June 2022

Why does the list of ingredients now include soy? These did not used to include soy....which is the only reason I bought them. I am gluten, soy, and dairy free. Just made a box of them and realized afterwards that they now say soy. It is so hard to find a reputable company that will make quality foods. Sadly Betty Crocker isn't my favorite anymore.
