I purchased both a new M160 and M260 microphone at the same time. I had an M500 ribbon from Beyer about twenty years ago and always loved it s superior sound quality. I tested both 260 and 160 on my vocal which has a lot of low resonance to it and the 260 handled it wonderfully making me sound full and round without any low frequency pronunciation, reminding of a U47 condensor sound, next i tried it on acoustic guitar and wow is all I can say. Next I used the 260 along with and SM58 on electric guitar cab and this was just the best.
