This headset also features a detachable cable which is a major plus for me. Included in the package are a cable for PC and one for consoles, plus a 3.5mm to 6.3mm convertor jack and a carrying case for transportation. This set can be directly plugged into a Xbox One controller, so one can have audio and speech via the (wireless) controller. Sure, you could tell by the packaging it was already "used" - but the product itself was in mint condition!I would definitely recommend BeyerDynamic B-Stock products if you don't mind the fact they're not brand new. The discount they give on these items is very fair to say the least. Also: ordering process and follow-up where stellar compared to other (manufacturing) companies. Thumbs up!

I was surprised at how good this headset is, after trying the sennheiser GSP600 beforehand which was a complete upset. I can say that after the first full session of using this product for gaming I was in love. I do wish they had options for impedance like some of their headphones but so far these 32 ohms have been completely perfect. If you love music, and want something equally good for gaming / voIP then this is by far the best headset I've used in this category. Obviously a standalone high-end mic through an XLR will sound better but these sound FANTASTIC for being on a headset. Beyerdynamic made something great here and it obviously is not reviewed enough. I hope this helped with your decision if you were looking. You won't regret this headset! The sound quality is really very good. I listen to music on Sennheiser HD-280s Pros with a Mackie USB headphone amp almost all day long as I work form my desk, and after trying these and going back to the Sennheiser's, the Sennheiser's just don't sound as good any more... especially in the mid to higher frequency range, the MMX 300s just sound clearer and more detailed.I find them to be very comfortable. They are not too heavy, and the velour earpads are just nicer than vinyl, because they aren't sweaty. The ear cups are so large that no part of the headphone is actually making contact with my ears, just my head. So no pain from smashed ears, even after hours of wear.Mic sound is good... Can't say much about it other than my friends seem to understand me fine. I ... MoreThe sound quality is really very good. Can't say much about it other than my friends seem to understand me fine. I understand that it is a condenser mic... somehow it works fine with my computer sound card and the XBox Series S controllers. Not sure how because I thought condensers need phantom power. The 2 supplied cables are nice in that I use this headset on both my PC and an Xbox Series S (controller), so I leave the cables attached to the devices and move the headphones back and forth. The one thing I don't like so much is the cables are too stiff. Unlike my Sennheisers, the cable is not coiled, and is too stiff to lay flat on my desk. It also transmits noise to the headphone when I move my head and the cable drags against my clothing. Lastly, the cables stink of chemicals, and being so close to your face, that smell is constantly making its way to my nose... I assume the smell will go away with time.

Comfortable, amazing noise isolation, stellar bass.

I previously owned the Beyerdynamics MMX300s when starting in voice recording, amateur narrative work and gaming. The input sound is still amazing and performs well without any sound anomalies or pickup loss. It's a single cord with two 3.5mm jacks for I/O respectively and a 3.5mm jack which plugs securely into the headset. For future purchases: you'll need to really push the jack into the earcup quite firmly for it to sit properly, else you'll have mic loss. So far, have experienced no loosening of the cord.Like the MMX300s: the ear cup padding is detachable for cleaning purposes, although reattaching has typically been something of a frustrating task. The headband padding is attached via velcro instead of studs, now sure how I feel about this, as velcro has that nasty habit of warping and curling along the edges. Time will tell if this happens. The sound is where the MK2s shine: while the range is just as crisp and clean as the former, the bass range on the MK2s is incredible for a headset without muffling or muddying sound. There are lows in songs I'd heard before, but these turn that sound into physical sensation at 40hz, causing the inner ear to pulse distinctly. It's glorious to feel music.Highly recommend this beast.

Excellent gaming headset

Excellent gaming headset that enhances gaming experience. Well balanced, from explosions to more discreet noises, sound is realistic and not exaggerated. Very impressive. Sound direction is quite accurate also. Build quality is as good as the other made in Germany Beyerdynamics.Used with fps shooter and survival horror and performed amazingly.

Excellent only if you get the 1st generation, don't get the second one.

Get the Gen1 model, the frequency response is flat with just a bump at 13.5khz which is easily tamed with a one single ply of tissue paper over just the circle of the driver under the foam. The Gen2 has a "W" shape with bass that steps on the mids and two treble bumps at the beginning and end of the sibilance range. I've had both and would only ever get the Gen1 version. The second has a removable cable, but the obnoxious response curve isn't worth it. Great for everything, detail and speed for days if you pair it with something good like a Soundblaster G6, Atom Amp/Dac combo, or even better a Khadas tone board and use an extension cable to run to the onboard mic port (I use a Soundblaster Play3 just for the mic and it works great). The Schiit Hel was also really good with the Gen1, what a great combo testing that with it was. These scale well with power so the Sennheiser GSX was lacking until I lined out to an amp. JDS Atom and Khadas tone board is what I have currently. Most important get the silver pads which are the denser foam to really bring out the bass. The brainwavz velour memory foam work great too, just don't get the XL size, too boomy.

Excellent sounds quality, very robust product

This product is definitely recommended. I use it for gaming such as CSGO and works really nicely. I was worried that the sounds is only stereo however with Dolby Atmos software which comes with almost any gaming laptop nowadays, you can have a 3d sound which was pretty accurate with detecting location. This was tagged as a major concern for competitive FPS games but in my experience this works very well. The microphone can't be disassembled however can be tilted and folded on top which I don't have an issue with. It's also very accurate for listening to music compared to other gaming headsets like logitech. First, I love headphones for more than just use with computers. I love them with music too. The name Beyerdynamic is a recognizable brand amongst those who love headphones for a reason. These are just a microphone version of the DT 770 32 ohm set. Sound profile is less in the mids, clean treble and a clean punchy bass. There is no heavy deep bass that has a rumble to it. It took me a while to get used to this sound profile compared to Sennheiser. These headphones don't get a lot of volume compared to others via computer. Comfort is fantastic. They keep it old school. I love how ear covers and headband can be replaced. The only worry about them is the wires protruding. They can snag things. I would recommend it. I find myself wearing them more often than most of the higher priced cans I own.The detachable cord is nice, for longevity, even the $1000 pair of Shure's I own still had the original cables go bad, so a detachable cable on an expensive set of headphones is paramount. It comes with two cables which allow for various uses. I have an Android phone and the single cord cable worked fine, the controls functioned as well. The longer cable is great for different cases. If you just use your motherboard sound, you can plug the cable into the headphone and mic jacks. If you have a DAC/Amp, whatever you might have, you can easily plug the speaker cable into that, while plugging your mic cable into the motherboard mic jack or even a stand-alone mic amp.IMPORTANT: Make sure you push the cable into the headset firmly, and all the way. I thought my set was broken when it arrived, but just pushing the cable in harder fixed the issue. It is a very tight fit.
