I bought this coffee on a whim as using up remaining money from a voucher, and what a pleasant surprise. I normally buy Lavazza but this blend was amazing! This is an absolute favourite.

Ignore others' poor reviews, I buy this beautiful strong (8-strength) reasonably-priced hazelnut-flavoured coffee in bulk from JL! Way better and healthier than adding high-sugar flavoured syrups. BUT I only add a quarter scoop to my usual Waitrose espresso grounds for a divine hint of aromatic flavour. By contrast I once made a brew with 100% hazelnut grounds and my boyfriend said it tasted of earthy acorns, he was right! So... moderation is key, to jazz up a blander or weaker coffee blend with a punch of caffeine and nuttier flavour. I quite liked the vanilla one too, but JL seems to have discontinued it? The chocolate one is too subtle, can't taste any hint of choc! Hazelnut is definitely my fave. I love the packaging too. Bought this on a whim to go with the Moka. Intense is right. Just what I nèed first thing in the morning. It also has a lovely flavour. For this price you can't go wrong. Just bought some more.
Bought this alongside the standard espresso and Intenso as part of a gift pack, with a hob top espresso maker for my husbands birthday.We can only assume the batch we had was stale or had gone wrong in manufacture somehow.Tasted as if the grounds had already been used. Very weak and slightly stale tasting. Tried all three and even a different coffee maker to be sure! We'll be going back to our regular brand.Had to throw them all away. Feels wasteful of fuel and time travelling 5 miles to store to return some coffee :(
Have seen cheaper ones at TK Maxx but chocolate flavour not always available there.Good that JL stocks the brand in different flavours. Intense, rich, chocolate for this one.Would recommend over Vanilla (which smells nice but doesn't taste as strong). The original one was alright but you can get other brands that'll do the job and at a cheaper price.Would only recommend this chocolate flavour from Bialetti.
Grabbed this coffee by mistake from the shelf in the last lockdown, noticed it only when I got home and was not in the mood of taking it back for exchange. I like both coffee and hazelnut and was just hoping it was not as overwhelming combination as those syrups they add to coffees. It is such a great taste and smell, so smooth and natural, like freshly roasted hazelnuts. I cannot imagine waking up without that wonderful smell in the house any more and am totally addicted to it- all my trips to JL contain two packets of this lovely coffee.
The coffee was quite tasteless and not that strong. I like a good strong coffee in the morning to perk me up for the rest of the day but this coffee was quite poor in comparison with the 5 strength French coffee I usually buy. Quite disappointed.
I bought this as I also got a coffee machine from JL so wanted some to use when it arrived. I liked the sound of it but wasn't expecting much. This is honestly the nicest coffee I've ever tasted. It is so smooth and creamy with a lovely hint of hazelnut. I don't think I will ever not buy this coffee now.
