BIBS colour dummies are a cherry-shaped natural latex pacifier, especially developed to soothe and comfort baby while supporting their instinctive need to suckle. The cherry-shaped (round) nipple is produced from natural latex, which is soft, flexible and durable, whilst the shield is made from Polypropylene (PP), which is a robust and lightweight plastic material. It is gently outwards curved to prevent skin irritation and is equipped with air holes and a security handle. Size 2 is the most commonly used size (labelled as 6-18 months, but suitable for newborn use, as per the manufacturer's recommendation) - the teat length is crucial to getting baby’s sucking reflexes activated. Note: If your new dummy is different in size compared to an older dummy, this will be due to the teat expanding through heavy use. The teat is made from a natural material, which doesn’t contain any stabilising chemicals to keep the shape of the nipple. It is recommended to replace the dummy every 6-8 weeks, or at the first signs of damage or weakness, and have a few in rotation so any size difference isn’t as noticeable.
